The beautiful art- and sound design will leave players with a sense of wonder while they explore the mysterious world of Gris. Chill platformer with replay value for some.

Peak 1990ies 2D RPG

Strong character cast with more or less interesting backstories and additional sidequests.
Mostly linear until the world opens up later in the game and you can explore freely.
Story with a lot of twists and turns along the way.
Combat system is not deep but leaves room for experimentation with different dual and tri attack synergies of the potential party members.
No grinding.
Dragonball Artstyle.
Rather short and small world compared to modern games.

More linear and grindy than I remember but loved it as a kid due to coop play. Didn't age very well even with new graphics. Small cast consisting of superficial stereotypes and tiny game world. Almost no story twists. Nasty difficulty spike towards the end that probably requires most players to grind exp.

Wonderful game, great artstyle and soundtrack. Metroidvania leveldesign. Heavy on platforming and environment puzzles, less combat focused than comparable games.

Nice sandbox multiplayer with tons of stuff to do, but very high barrier of entry due to the implementation of multiple free updates over the years, which allow for easier and more nuanced ways to build an empire and gain money.

There is no help from the game or some sort of progression, you have to use guides on the internet or ask friends. Prices have increased too, because money is easier to make nowadays.

A lot of the free updates feature either old characters from the game or new characters which are fully voiced and bring their own story arc, similar to the Singleplayer (SP) campaign of the game. GTA:O is basically the SP DLC everyone wished for, but converted to a multiplayer format. Remember when you finished the SP and put the game away because it got boring and there was nothing to do anymore? GTA:O will make you come back time and time again to experience the new characters, their story arcs und whatever new game mechanics are being added. It's 2020 now and the update frequency slowed down a lot, major updates come twice a year now and small stuff like luxury vehicles are still being added frequently.

If you want to explore every business opportunity and the different mission types you will probably be busy for at least 500h. Play GTAO with at least 1 friend, the early missions where made for 4 players but they shifted focus to 2-4 players later on in the lifecycle of the game.

Singleplayer verdict: ~50h nothing out of the ordinary but a lot of nice gangster movie references. Strong opening and interesting characters at first, but descends into mediocrity towards the middle and end. Can't hold a candle to other Rockstar games like IV or RDR1/2, which have way more interesting characters and a higher level of immersion in the game world.

pretty solid metroidvania, combat system is kinda dull but I guess it will do okay for anyone who is just craving some metroidvania games. nice artwork, all ages.

interesting plot and deep characters unlike other shallow roleplaygames. good character and story development troughout the game. can be played as a swordsman, mage, assassin or a hybrid class. part of the games has two sides like a coin, depending on what faction the player sides with.

combat is clunky and inventory small, performance sucks on older PC's.

useful mods:
- the witcher 2 tweaker (performance)
- the witcher 2 inventory mod
- the witcher 2 full combat rebalance mod (official mod made by cd projekt red developers makes combat like in witcher 3)

now pick up a sword you ploughing whoreson and go do some witchering!
