I'm here rippin' and tearin' 3 minutes after the intro screen while nitpickers whine about Bethesda account and refuse to play it.
Support id, they've been listening to critique since last year and perfect it to your liking ( HUD, grunt sound,.... ) so don't let Bethesdoods ruin the mood for you, for they are worse, play and recommend, until it is done.

- True that the citadel is quite big, and traversing it seems not quite enjoyable at time but the central idea was a "hub" for the player, only if they made it slightly smaller and maybe remove the door ? It would be better

- The climbing animation look ridiculous sometimes but i just ignore that, some platforms feel nice to complete when it is more refined, some aren't ( Like the part when you have to jump on a flying grave and land way too close to a fire ring ? ) ♥♥♥♥.

- The combat has been changed quite a lot since 2016 and i had already developed a mindset for Eternal and the way i play it, it's not just run - n - gun - n like 2016 anymore but it's "run - fly - skate off gravity pad - gun - blood punch - gun". Some people doesn't like it but it's entirely their opinion, watch the gameplay and judge for yourself. My opinion is that this feel much smoother and contribute to the slayer's strength and combat prowess a lot

- The melee, he can punch big ass rock to move 100m, break wall, ... but he can't punch some lowly demons to death ? That's absurd, i know that it is a gameplay decision since melee only stagger the enemy, the player were supposed to use recharging weapon so alright i'll adapt to that. But i can't adapt to Slayer's mega thicc bicep not being able to crush demon pleb in 1 hit

- Now, my biggest gripe, EVER,IN THIS GAME, IT HAUNT ME IN MY DREAM: WHY OH WHY DO YOU MAKE WEAPON PICKUP A GLOWING OBJECT ??? The way that the weapons are given to you in 2016 feels more "physical" they don't glow and rotate strangely, i wanna feel a deeper connection to my weapons, since they are few of the workhorses for Slayer's badassery. Aside from the super shotgun as seen in the trailer and a few other spoiler weps, the other pickup feels uninspired.

Other than those, the game is awesome, the boss battle is gore-gasm and the power trip is real, the Slayer get more recognition around the globe with people chanting him as beast and who they fear, the lore is way more developed. Although you'll have to read them & listen to some radio broadcast etc...

The combat is buttery smooth once you've got used to it, don't always dunk your head down in the past and refuse to move on ( except the melee tho ). 2016 has great combat but Eternal is way more aggressive & fluent. Remember, nostalgia killed Halo 4 experience, let's not let that grow in Doom, even when 2016 is relatively new.
