DOOM

Start to finish one of the best modern shooter campaigns. The story is by no means stellar but is serviceable enough to keep you invested while you rip through hordes. Moment-to-moment encounters and the ever increasing difficulty feels so good to play, Doom 2016 felt very modern back then and it still feels incredible now. Exploration through tightly-designed levels directly rewards you with ways to make Doomguy more powerful, and by the end of the campaign I felt truly unstoppable. Dual-barrel minigun with the infinite ammo rune is ridiculously fun. Might have to come back and speedrun this one sometime.
