Persona is a stylish fusion of a visual novel and a tactical turn-based RPG. No issues with the port and the game itself is great.

Best action game in the recent years. Very fluid and rewarding combat system.

Also, if people can't not compare it to the Souls series... well just don't. It's a different game, not even an RPG...

It's been over 10 years...
An amazing comeback for the series!

Inside is an extrmely polished game. It's atmospheric and immersive. Well everything you read on the label :)
Highly reccomend to try. Even if this experience isn't for you it's short enough to not feel like wasted time.

A very good use if the game medium! Unique story with meta-commentary.
Reminds me of Undertale, although I didn’t like that game (mosly because of the bullet hell gameplay).

But it’s true that the game is deeply unsettling at times.

Interestring concept but the gameplay is boring. Just watch videos about it and save some time and nerves.
But if you like bullet hell games -> play it ;)

FF XIII has a 20 hour tutorial
The first 20-30 hours of the game a pretty much linear. You have to run through the level and battle through the squads of enemies while controlling one of the groups of characters. The leveling system is just as linear as the game levels. The combat is pretty much switching between several types of character roles that are appropriate to the situation.
You can skip many combat encounters but at some point you may find yourself at a disadvantage because your characters are underleveled for the next challenge.

My overall impression of the combat is: it's very tedious and doesn't let feel good. The characters are supposed to be the chosen ones who received special magic powers. And in the cutsences they look cool... just not in the actual combat gameplay.

On the other hand, store is art are interesting enough to have kept me playing for almost 30 hours. But I don't think they are enough to make spend a couple of hours on grining before this tough boss.

Nothing special both as a game and as a story. Encountered lots of bugs, some of which prevented progression (had to restart from checkpoint).

A cross between Devil May Cry and Dark Souls in historical Japanese setting

The game has tactical but fluid action. Everyone compres it to Dark Souls. IMO it's a far better action game. You have much more options than rolling, blocking, and two attacks. The levels on the other hand are less interesting and more linear.
I love the themes and setting. And the voice acting is good :)

No performance issues in my case. Almost stable 60 fps all the time on GTX 1070 + i5-6600K (1080p). Game feels fluid and responsive. Xbox One controller works just fine as an input method.

Had to reset the resolution and some other graphics options 2 times before they stuck.

I enjoyed it quite a bit (not a revelation though).
Interesting characters and story overall, satisfying finale.
