Criminally underrated game.

There are valid criticisms and issues with the game, such as onboarding for newer players who get dropped into veteran lobbies after a couple of games (hard to avoid when the player count is so low), and issues that are being addressed such as unranked and ranked games being mixed lobbies (i.e. you can queue casual into a game that has both casual and ranked squads playing).

Regardless of these issues, I believe the foundation of the game is peak gameplay - Fast-paced combat, deep mechanics from movement to fighting in the abyss and 'ledge-guarding' akin to Smash Bros, and strong character designs with enough room to play around with item builds (without going too far into making items a pain to learn). While I think the developers are slow in their update release cycles specifically targetting active player issues (One example being the mixed games for ranked/casual squads should have been out months ago), they do generally hit the mark when they do make these adjustments, and while I personally am a fan of the transparent development cycle of Digital Extremes and Warframe, I can't fault the connection to the community the devs do have, pro-actively discussing changes when they do finally propose them, and not completely closing off from criticism and feedback in places like Discord or from platforms like YouTube.

Overall I think this game is incredibly fun and worth the couple of hours of learning curve to really get into. I hope they can address onboarding issues so other people aren't so scared to hop on and find the game is actually incredibly fun and satisfying to play.
