This game is as casual as you wish it to be and can be as sweaty as you wish, all of it on a flip of a switch. you can go from sitting at sea, fishing to grind Hunter's Call for some reason andthen immediately you can find yourself in the middle of a storm, struggling to wrest control of your ship from the storm while also getting harassed by a Skelly Galley while a Megalodon is roaming around taking bites out of your ship intermitently.
This is based on a true story lived and experienced by me. Directed by Quentin Tarantino and Written by Frank Miler with a cinematography similar to Sin City (2005).
the movie would be called: "White Whale: Holy Grail"

This game's fairly good! don't listen to X/Twitter ♥♥♥♥-birds, Sony Ponies and Nintendrones. the game is solid. it isn't broken on launch! it has no cash shop. it has no MTX (micro transactions), its just an entrance fee and you can play as much, as long and as often as you want. its like this game came out of the PS3. Xbox 360 era, you know, the greatest time in gaming!
Solid experience. if you like the idea of ARK but not its tediousness (read: Spectrum-levels of degrees of minutia) with dinosaurs replace with basically Off-brand pokemon and, most amazing of all: THE CLIMBING FROM CONAN EXILES. Yes, Conan Exiles climbing gave me that much of a strong impression because im an exploration junkie.
Just buy the darn game already!

this was the defining RPG of my formative years, or at least the PS2 NA version. every RPG I play is compared to this game to measure their worth. if they cannot measure up to this game, they are not worth the time, money and effort to be played.

Its a good game. If youget stuck at a boss, just go back to ward 13, do a bit of adventure mode, get some more exp, trait points, maybe a few new trinkets, kill a boss you didnt come across and get a new weapon or mod that will help you on the boss you're stuck on.
andthen, sometime you just Need More Guns, and maybe a Very Good Boy. find the means to get the Sentry Guns and The Very Good Boy. those are summons. you can have 2 sentries and one dog all at once. the dog does some great work and the sentries are fairly good at DPSing a boss while you are kiting it to find a spot to heal or cure conditions.
Oh, yeah, you WILL need to use consumables and continuously stock up on them. learn what each piece does and where they come from. once you find a consumable, you can purchase them at a vendor at Ward 13, AKA Home Base. if you feel like you mis-spec'd your traits, don't worry, just keep puching the campaign and you'll get the means to un-screw all of that. and you'll be able to get more of those at the same vendor, for an appropriate price.

This game is one of the longest and actively played video game in the industry. Jagex is an Industry Giant in the guise of a Small Indie Company(c)(tm)
Jagex as developper has seldom committed ♥♥♥♥-ups, and those that did happen were small in contrast to standard gaming industry scandal (Looking at Activision, Blizzard and King of Candy Crush fame, yes, King is part of that conglomerate, they are the actual breadwinners in that triad).
anyways, Jagex and their one and only game, Runescape are absolutely beloved by their very very longstanding playerbase and they've got more wisdom and insider knowledge of the gaming industry and a constant attention on the pulse of trends not simply in gaming, but among Gamers most importantly, they are one of the few within the gaming industry that understand that listening to player feedback is not a waste of time and it actually gives a better understanding of the market demands in Gaming!

Economics and history aside, You would be a fool among fools to not pla this game, or at least get a taste of it as a F2P. whether you pick OSRS or Retail RS3, it doesnt matter, you get access to both with the same account, 2 different launchers, different characters in both version, different experience in both, but relatively the same narrative. take your pick of which one you fancy over the other, both games have excellent and welcoming communities.
Although don't be surprised when folks are skeptical of you claiming to be a fresh new player that has never played as those sort of players are as uncommon as a Black Unicorn. Speaking on Black Unicorns, you can find those South of the Relleka Lodestone. have fun!

10 years and this game still has a vast active user base. this is one of the few Eternal Games you will find on the internet, akin to Team fortress 2.

So far it looks promising and I hope the devs seek to create a good product first and when the foundation for the basis of the game is settled and the structure is built, they may start in finding ways to monetize the game further, but only when there is sufficient content and mechanics to interact with.

Here is my first recommendation for the devs: I managed to get myself stuck in the corner of Len's Motel in the corner of the Red Couch, sandwiched right between the couch and the corner of two walls. my issue is there is no unstuck prompt in the pause menu anywhere. adding this feature is my recommendation. Yes, I have a tendency to sticky myself in places i shouldnt be in and i do it because I need to know if the devs have thought about unstuck options.
Being a former avid Gmod Player (8.800 hours, help me!), I believe I am quite the professional "Door Stuck" connoisseur.

Update: There is now an "Unstuck" feature in the pause menu.

game runs very smooth. the gameplay is solid. the quests are what you would expect from a GSC World Stalker title. The only Minecraft aspect to this game you will find is the aesthetics of the human character models. that's it as far as i know.

Fair warning: Their End User License Agreement allows them to collect some data from you playing the game, but there's a HUGE caveat in that They are allowed to change their ToS and EULA at any time for any reason with no warning whatsoever. make that what you will. for now, they're a new Dev team on the market, so we can only give them the benefit of the doubt and goodwill until they don't deserve it anymore, like Activision Blizzard (King), EA, ID Software with the whole debacle with our boy Mick Gordon.
