Needs some more wenches

I really wanted to love this game, since I've beaten every other main S.T.A.L.K.E.R release to date. I'm more in a love-hate relationship with it. I gotta say the atmosphere, feel and everything is here. But the game is really hard to get running. Usually crashes once or twice compiling shaders, sometimes causing a computer restart. Other times the mouse is stuck on top of my screen, can't look around or interact with menus, but I can shoot and move. Once the game finally works, I have about an hour before I got from 100 FPS on high settings to 20fps and can't fix it without closing and reopening the game starting the loop again. Steam says I have 48 hours, and my in-game file says 29, so take that as you will. Otherwise it's a great and beautiful game that's worth playing, more so in a few patches maybe.

Singing sailor tunes with the lads on the boat before getting viciously attacked by a sea serpent is something more people should experience

Really solid remaster. Challenging as hell but has its moments. Recommended for sure, it's the classic and iconic soulslike

So far, I've really been enjoying this game! It has that great classic feel with a combat system that feels mostly fluid. Sometimes random weird misses happen on rats, or wanderers can't seem to hit you while you're crouched on the floor.

Voice acting is pretty decent and I like the vibe it gives the game. Quests are simple but intriguing, and the game feels fleshed out enough to want to explore around every area,

The graphics are pretty, nothing breathtaking but adds a nice level of atmosphere. Feels spooky at times wandering through dark mines and seeing rats with glowing red eyes.

Some issues so far have been random clips / out of bounds in the corners of some areas (like the fortress in Lysandria), and stamina doesn't seem to have a meaning besides for combat. You can run and jump with your stamina bar empty for seemingly forever, but you will get debuffed / damaged for swinging after such.

Overall it's been a great mix of fun, adventure, struggle and triumph. About what I expected

Game suffers from being really not fun to play

PROS:
Atmosphere is good! Could still use work but the graphics, sounds and particle effects do well. Not terribly scary after the first few areas.
Gunplay is amazing, I love the weight of the gun and the character's movement. Shots produce nice looking gore and feels good.

CONS:
No real story in the game yet, mostly just run shoot and try to get out. A bit mindless.
Many bugs, glitches, weird movement etc. Game crashed while shooting some beautifully creepy crabs. Can see through vents if you dont hold ctrl.
Game has been out a long time to still be this unfinished. Not sure how big or small the dev team is but production seems slow.

Overall, super fun game and I'm excited to see all that gets added to it over time. I would recommend waiting to make the purchase on this unless you want to support the devs and wait on the title.
