If you want to chill with a simple game this is the right choice.

The controls are good and precise, you can set your own checkpoint to be less frustrated of doing the entire level because of a small mistake and you can even decide to have a more challenging way to play with the limited live and speedrun modes.

PS: the musics are also good to hear when concentrating on a specific jump.

Update from 2024 since the 1.5 just came out:


Just get this game if you love arcade-like racing game with platforming element (without going too much into that direction).

The campaings are quite short and have an obscure narration but you will love the ton of fan made content that gives the butter to this game.

If you are really hesitant you can always try the spiritual predecessor Nitronic Rush for free.



First of all: I am not a fan of racing game at all (except for the F-zero serie) but this game is really interresting, it mix platforming elements which makes it a unique experience.

Be carefull anyway, the game's current "adventure mode" is really short and most content is made by the users (with the track creator).

I would recommend it on a sale or if you want to support the project.

Normally I am against skin-based DLCs but considering that the game is free...

Actually this mod isn't bad as there are a lot of worse mod out there but the fact that this mod is boring, short and on steam for no reasons makes this bad. Well you can play it once if you're bored like me but I would suggest to search the half-life mods by yourself, it's better to do it like that.

Anyway there's a better mod on Steam such as CAGED or even Headcrab Frenzy.

PS: this is more like a neutral notation than a thumb down as the mod is free (unlike some other HL2 mod I won't tell the name).

The only "steam-approved" mod I've played was "Before" and it was disapointing.

Good thing we now have a way supperior mod.

In summary this is a short story about evading a prison. It has a great 80's influences (from music to the VHS and radio you could see in the game). The level layout is pretty linear but with nice hidden places. The mapping is so great you could think that this is a Source engine map for a minute.

The only downsides is the lack of xenian creatures, the scarcity of life and "armor" (gruel can), there's only 6 weapons (but plenty of ammo considering there's a lot of soldiers using smg and shotguns), and some cheap moment like you fall through the vent just in front of 3 soldiers and the helicopter fight isn't that fair considering I was killed a lot because of the missiles even if I was hidden .

In conclusion it's a must try for everyone who has Half Life on Steam

Oh and there's achievement that might unlock bonuses.

That game is a nice Megaman like!

PS: the Pizza hadoken is the best thing.

I have redone the game in January 14 2018 and I now have a 80~ % file (most stage completed with the A rank and no-death seal). The game is really complete and have a good replayability finding most secrets after unlocking every abilities.

Also the character are all unique and likeable (when you talk to them in a Zelda 2 like town).

The fact that this game is free is really incredible (especially in today's videogame industry and even in the indie market)

I would advice to buy the 0.99€/$/£ DLC if you wanna thanks and support the devs (this is a cosmetic outfit nothing more)

That was... special

Very nice metroidvania style game, the character is light, fast and very easy to handle.

The bosses are tough and different enough to be entertaining.

You cannot be lost thank to the minimap and the objective.

The only good musics are the remixes of the classics games.

The bad side is that the game is too short.
