This is a beautiful game crafted with love. Exceptional animation, excellent and thematic soundtrack. Mostly chill farming and fetch quests, with some dextrous platforming thrown in for those who like it, but held together with a touching weave of stories. The ending is a bit weak and abrupt, but I still recommend this game.

Loads of fun if you have a good group of friends to play with, in a shared voice-chat channel.

A good Metroidvania with a Chrono Trigger sort of aesthetic. Lots of corners to explore, lots of powerups to get. Beautiful soundtrack.

A physics simulation that blew up in popularity. It's a fun way to play games with friends, especially favourite games that have gone out of print. Also a neat way to find hidden gems since a lot of aspiring game designers use it to prototype their ideas. I've had fun porting a game or two to it, and the Lua scripting opens lots of possibility.

It's a physics simulation first and foremost, so it's be pretty janky when comparing any individual game to a video game designed specifically for the board game they're simulating. But that leads to its own sort of fun, and allows more flexibility and emergent gameplay.

This is a fun take on Portal gameplay and the universe. Critically, they've found a way to reduce the load times of levels, which is important because you'll be reloading a *lot*; it's very easy to bounce wrong or slide off an edge and into the void. Neat combination of levels and concepts.

This is a beautiful game. Very chill and atmospheric platformer. Wonderful ambient music, beautiful hand-drawn art. A good game for a rainy or snowy day when you just want to sit inside and lose yourself.

It has some skillful platforming for getting to the collectible macguffins, but much of the gameplay is puzzle-focused. There are hints of metroidvania-type "power ups" and backtracking too, though I haven't gotten far enough yet to confirm.

Early Access Review
This doesn't look or play like an Early Access game. The graphics are great, with lots of little touches in the animations and player interactions that make it feel complete. I've almost never felt pulled out of the experience... though it helps that the experience is really fun. Take some friends and go exploring in caves for minerals, while fighting off waves of a nice variety of enemies. The voice acting and music are great too. Give it a shot!

A first-person shooter with high mobility and tight controls. A bullet-hell dodgefest. Rogue-like random level generation and enemy selection. A consistent industrial aesthetic, in both the graphics and the excellent soundtrack. A collection of satisfying guns for all types of shooter. A "light" game that's easy to pick up and put down, but addictive enough to make that last part difficult. A passion project by one indie developer. This game is all of the above, and beyond that, a ton of fun.

This game takes the charm and personality of Runner2, mixes it with the intense challenge of the other BIT.TRIP games, and takes it all to the next level. The level designs are beautiful and stunning. They're still effectively linear, but they feel more like actual worlds than the static side-scrolliness of Runner or Runner2. The music is awesome, and at least in some of the levels, the "loops" are a lot longer.

This game can be frustrating. But that can make it all the more rewarding when you finally do get to the end of the level with 100 gold and 25 gems.

Also, you all can have Morgan Freeman. I want Charles Martinet to narrate my life.

This game scratches every gamer itch I have. Beautiful modern hand-drawn graphics with classic gameplay design. Metroidvania platforming with tight controls in a very open world. Understated yet compelling storyline, characters with personality, great music, lots of exploration and collecting. I could go on and on.

I think this is one of the best Metroidvania games I've ever played. You're not on rails at any point, you can explore in whatever direction you want. That also means the game will happily let you blunder into a boss fight you're horribly unprepared for -- while that can be frustrating, I think I prefer that to being told where I can and can't go.
