Like Devil May Cry V, the MTX are for stuff you can already buy, find, and earn in-game.

The performance needs work, I won't lie. But it's fine 90% of the time and I have faith they'll improve the last 10%.

The game _feels_ more balanced than DD1, which is arguably a negative, but needs noting depending on how interested you are in breaking the game. And that statement may age poorly as people discover more about the game.

But yeah, highly recommended. Very fun.

It's Dwarf Fortress but the learning cliff is actually a learning curve now. Same complexity of mechanics but without memorizing a hundred important keyboard shortcut at the same time.

Did not follow this leading up to release but holy hell is it good. The system accommodates trying out multiple playstyles and the information-based advancement is much more interesting than key-hunting.

A focus on roleplay over upgrades and a generally unique structure; I hope more games in the future follow suit.

Fast-paced and insanely deep for how basic it looks at first.

Great agility to the exploration and the combat isn't bad either. The game respects your time, too - every cutscene is skippable, barely any intro logos and such before the title screen, Adol moves super fast, fast travel is almost always available... just not a lot of "buffer" on the whole between the good bits.

Not as deep as some of Platinum's other games but still fantastic.

It's yet a bit grindy and slow, and the limit on teleporting with ores means that you have to regularly make new bases, which can get tiring, but the combat is fun and the environments are very well-made.

The closest comparison would really be Minecraft - aimless, but with endless bounds of creative potential, and there's some inspiring and terrifying stuff out there that people have built that will 100% dunk on anything you make unless you're willing to spend a couple hundred hours extra. Still, a ton of fun.
