I just read this up to chapter 76 and I have some things to say:

Life isn’t like that. I felt physically ill reading this manga at times, not because I thought the plot was bad, but because the author idealizes every single aspect of teenage life. It’s nothing like that. You won’t have dozens of friends that deeply care about you as if you’re a family member, at most you’ll find one friend like that throughout your entire life if you’re lucky, and this is especially true in the case of teenagers who don’t have enough emotional intelligence to be so close to someone they’ve met last last year. And when some conflict arises between those friends everything gets solved by one of them exposing their own inner conflicts and deeper thoughts in front of everyone. That’s not how it works, not for adults, not for kids, this is actually comical, those teenagers have not only the emotional intelligence of a psychologist but also the critical thinking of a scholar, and the rhetorical ability of a classic philosopher, not only can they empathize deeply with their friends but they can also perfectly analyze their own flaws and issues and vocalize them in a way that everyone around them can understand perfectly well.

Relationships are also not like that. The relationship of the protagonist has simply no issues at all, it is perfect, no conflicts arise between the main pair and they’re always giving proofs of their love towards each other. No relationship in the history of mankind has been like that. Relationships are about learning how to love someone despite their flaws, but the characters here HAVE NO FLAWS!

This manga pissed me off so much, it deludes people into thinking that life is perfect and that every problem can be solved by exposing your own issues in front of everyone. I can’t even imagine how much harm it does to the clueless teens who read it.
