Runs beautifully, plays beautifully, the major bugs got patched out within a day and you seriously don't need to sign in, it's better than most 99% of ports nowadays.

The only reason i'm reviewing it now is for the obvious, but I have had difficulty putting into words how important this game is to me and, I think now to the gaming landscape as a whole. While the future does look bleak I think it's best to thank every person at Tango for this game even happening at all, and how incredible it is.

Long live Tango Gameworks.

Was kinda let down by this, more frustrating than unsettling and doesn't really do much with the idea. It's short and free so by all means check it out but I felt my time with it was a bit wasted.

This is a new indie horror classic in the making, just incredible and I can't wait for how it continues.

One of those rare PC disasters that was turned into something stellar, kudos to not abandoning what I paid for like a certain company that starts with an E and ends with an A.

While the presentation is perfect, can't recommend it until it's in a better technical state. My xbox inputs are completely broken, can't navigate the menus correctly and inputs sometime double themselves, i've tried using the in-game rebinds but nothing works. The rat model is also completely missing? I've ran a verify game files just to make sure but selecting the rat just shows nothing in the ball. I hope that once the game is out of early access it's something I can enjoy.

Exactly what it needed to be and not much more. Too happy to "own" both these games now for a price under $500, they really are deserved classics that need another entry. The port job is alright, they don't really look as modern as I hoped they would, but they get the job done. Runs well on steam deck too, just took setting proton. Only hope the hype continues for this gem of a series and bamco understands the desire for more.

Always wanted to play this one and finished it for the first time tonight, and despite the aged visuals it's still pretty great, even shows up a lot of current gen gameplay. The way the setting is consistently deprived and filthy sets the tone perfectly for how the game is always about scrounging for any object that isnt nailed down to beat whatever maniac is charging at you with a 2x4. The AI is also impressive, enemies hide pretty often and its pretty cool to get the jump on them and they've done the same to me quite a few times.

There are a couple of hiccups I had with hitboxes and animations but for the jank for a game 16 years old now is still less than newer games today. The plot, while intriguing, has a lot more questions given instead of satisfying answers, i'm going to be playing the sequel soon which I hope is more satisfying, but i'm still impressed with how this game holds up, fully recommend and i'm all for a remake that could hopefully capture the design of this game with better visuals.
