the base game of hat in time was pretty fun overall. some flaws here and there, not always the best level design, but overall, still a solid 3d platformer.

but nyakuza metro? man. this is the good stuff. the atmosphere is top notch. the metro is expansive and fun to explore. brand new sets of dyes and clothes to purchase. the music is SOOO good.

if you play hat in time, you owe it to yourself to at least get to this DLC and play it. it is really good.

it's a good game. a pretty decent time all around. if you're looking for a pure shmup, this isn't really it, this falls more under the euro genre - slower, has upgrades, etc

however, could not get a damn controller to work, despite support being listed

steer clear if you are photosensitive however as the game likes to throw effects out in spades

it's pretty okay! its biggest drawback is that it lost a lot of charm visually - this is based on the wii version, i think, and that's a downgrade from the ps1

other than that it handled fine and is a pretty alright time overall.

i just think the game isn't all that great.

it handles fine. it looks fine. but after 3 hours barely anything happened. i looked it up and this is a 20-25 hour long "metroidvania". that's too damn long. there's some interesting systems, but nothing that kept me drawn in.

i put the game down after 3 hours of an OK time, then tried to pick it up the next play session, and it just made me realize that honestly, there's better games to spend your time on.

if you REALLY like the genre then like, sure, go ahead, i'd recommend it on sale, but there's better games that try to keep you hooked in out there and i would recommend that you spend your time on those instead of this one.

i might revisit it eventually, but i'm doubtful.

i did not care much for the story personally, however the gameplay itself is tight and lends itself to good scoring and replay ability options. works well with a controller. would strongly recommend, especially at that price point

it's alright. no saves between stages is reminiscent of older shmups, so that's not a huge problem, in my books.

controller was also fine for me - no support, but plug and play with a generic controller recognized as xbox (8bitdo) worked like a charm.

recommend a turbo function for this. there's probably better games, but on sale at a couple of dollars... there's worse pickups.

it's a pretty decent game, even if on the shorter side (rivaling old shumps).

had a lot of trouble getting a controller to work - had to launch the game THEN plug in a controller for it to be detected. also strongly recommend a controller with some sort of turbo function.

i have never played the original and while i have heard that there's issues with this remake, i had fun overall. would maybe recommend on sale rather than full price for a lot of people, though

very good game. solid arcade game play. highly unrealistic because you can get new new york as a defense and new york would crumble before aliens get here and leave nothing to rebuild on. strong recommend.

however the game is hard. very hard. i get mad every time i play it. purchase at your own discretion.
