it's pretty alright. not a lot of depth or variety to what's on offer, but it's a decent time. are there better games in the genre? sure, i guess, but the style and ease of play makes up for it, instead of having 25 different progression systems that hide a weaker core gameplay loop.

the price plays in its favor. it is... fine. not terribly exciting but not terribly great either. there's some fun to be had, but it's not the best shmup you'll play in your life. definitely very casual friendly though.

free from the clutches of wiiware, but the game definitely does not feel like it controls well with a mouse. would still recommend because of the lower price during sales, but something definitely feels off compared to the wii version.

on sale for a dollar or two this is a great game. would still recommend it at full price, although i think there are better (and more interesting) offerings in the genre

i'm not a fan in general and the fact that it kept my attention for a couple of hours as i was playing my unplayed steam games is a pretty good sign

despite being in that age bracket that should've played this when i was a kid, i know squat about doom, but this re-release is really good, to me at least. genuinely had a banger of a time playing DOOM for the first time of my life

in-game volume control (the whole one slider...) does not work. pretty big let down for a rhythm game...

rest of the game is whatever. i don't think it's bad but i don't think it does anything to stand out. it looks fine, it plays fine, but your time would be better spent elsewhere.

you genuinely could do worse with a dollar. a pretty solid time. made me hate dragons.

there has not been updates for this for over a year. dev seems to have gone MIA. base game has a decent idea, but unlikely that there will be more of it in the future.

buyer's beware.

I have bought very few bad video games in my life. This is one of them. Thank god Battleborne still came out, though.

the deckbuilding is great, and the fact that there is rollback is genuinely hilarious
