fantastic game. timeless. inspired a whole generation to dream and make games.

abysmal port. runs poorly on the steam deck. there's workarounds like setting cores to 3 using power tools, but frankly unacceptable to even need to do that as a user. maybe one day square enix will make good pc ports.

at times the level design feels very much like a video game and not much of a world that is inhabited, but considering that this is a video game, this is more thank okay. the gameplay is solid, and it's very satisfying to play. strongly recommend it

a good collection. save states are nice, even though i'd prefer a rewind, but whatever. the standouts are bloodlines and castlevania IV, but also a great way to try your hand out at the gameboy and NES titles, routinely goes on sale for like 5-10 dollars, so definitely worth a pickup if the regular price isn't up your alley.

impossible to tell what you're looking at no matter the resolution, feels thoroughly mediocre, insanely bad controller options. there are better games to play.

i love games with weird menu jank and this game fits the bill perfectly, if you love rpgs and menuing this game is 100% for you buy it and play it you will not regret it

a very good game. the gear system is fun to use, the weapon roster is fantastic, the stage design is pretty good overall, a really fun time. strongly recommend it. easily in my top 3 favorite classic megaman game

This is a good game that I will never replay because the Foggy ruins puzzle felt abysmal.

Still recommend it because it's of a decent length and the gameplay is solid

there's a lot to hate Konami for, including not producing any new 2d castlevania for a long time, but this collection is not one of them

i do think rewind is a bit overkill for the modern castlevania games, but whatever. collection works well, plays well, looks well with some customization options on how you want your screens laid out, it's all pretty good stuff

digital eclipse back at it again. good collection, the rewind is welcome, great extra tidbit contents (including in-game manuals and tips and maps!)

the only downside is the price, bit steep for a collection of older beat em ups. go for it if you really want the collection, otherwise wait for a sale
