Wow! Incredible debut from Billy Basso and BIGMODE. This puzzle platformer knocked it out of the park on both fronts. It has engaging puzzles all the way through, even after you finish the final boss the first time. The amount of post-game entertainment, puzzles, and secrets to be had is mind-blowing. I've played nearly 40 hours and still haven't even gotten all of the eggs, let alone the bunnies.

On the platforming front, everything feels crisp, responsive, and well-thought-out, which is what a puzzle platformer should feel like. I'm looking at you, Fez. I also love the amount of cheese certain tools in the game allow you to get away with in sections where you're not expected to use them, especially since the cheese still requires skill.

The music is pretty cool, nothing to go crazy over. The art is where the game really shines in my opinion, simply through the really cool shaders. It manages to handle incredibly precise, polished dynamic particle simulations that look incredible, especially in the context of a supposed older CRT-style pixel game, while still running buttery smooth. It's a testament to the skill of the developers when you're simulating the flow of smoke on my screen and I'm not even hearing my laptop fans kick into high gear.

Over all, the game is incredible, and a very promising showing for both the lead developer's and publisher's futures as their shared debut shines this bright.

This review is a Yes, but with caveats. It is a phenomenal puzzle game that makes you go "whoaaaa, cool" all the time whenever a new puzzle solution becomes apparent to you. Super pretty art, amazing soundtrack, all the works.

However, the game genuinely feels like none of the people who programmed it have ever played a platformer before in their life. Jumping is floaty and momentous, and it's very difficult to change air momentum at all. Ledge grabs, mantling, and climbing are incredibly sluggish and unrewarding, but you have to do them constantly, and they almost never go how you want them to. With climbing in particular, it feels like there is a huge input black hole AND delay that eats and misinterprets your directions.

I had an incredible time playing and 200%ing the game (except for the heart cubes because I looked them up and I felt dirty, especially since one doesn't even have a known solution outside of getting the code from datamining), but I feel like my time spent with the game would've been filled with significantly less "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥" and "oh ♥♥♥♥ offs" if they had cooked the platforming juuuust a bit more before deciding it was a good foundation for a complex puzzle platformer.

It's a game that seems like it tries pretty hard to follow in the Portal series' footsteps, even having a few direct and indirect references to that series placed within the game. Despite that initial setback, it's an extremely charming game with a really cool mechanic that I feel is used well in various ways throughout. The story is pretty simple, but that's not always a bad thing. I feel the one thing that could have been improved upon is how the puzzles are ordered throughout the game. You really got the coolest, most complex puzzles/puzzle elements in the middle stage of the game, and then return to timing and platforming towards the end, but I won't fault the designers for that if they were trying to stick to their narrative. The puzzles right before the end where the giant doors would start closing to shut off more and more of the light in the room was still cool as hell, and introduced the right amount of hurry for that part of the game story.

Such a unique platformer; technically never gets old, too! Allows for lots of creative ways to make your various tools interact. So cool.

I've been looking forward to this game for so long, after being massive fans of 140 and THOTH by Jeppe Carlsen and Jakob Schmid. This game is above and beyond what the trailers made me think. Every puzzle makes you go "whoa, I never thought that mechanic could be used in that way." The game's visuals are stellar; art style is impeccable. Sound design and music are ALWAYS on point in a Schmid game. I cannot recommend this game enough.

One of the most technically impressive games I've EVER played, and fun as hell to boot. It's crazy that they managed to pull off these features and make them run so well.

This is a stellar little romp of a platformer! For the price, you get pretty much the length of game you'd expect. I beat it in about two hours, and spent another hour or so 100%ing it. But the mechanics are great and never overstay their welcome! The pixel art is beautiful, and the secrets make you feel like a smarty pants.

An absolutely stellar little romp. Offers a very fair challenge, and once you've finished, gives you a MUCH harder option with Alternative. The soundtrack is lovely.
