This is, without a doubt, the only horror game I have ever played in my life that has made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe.

I was a little upset with how they start giving you weapons near the end...the revolver is pretty funny at the start, since it basically serves zero purpose other than to maybe shoot a scavenger now and then...The flamethrower near the end really serves as a good device for combat...since it doesn't hurt the Alien but spooks it away?

I don't know, the best parts of this game are really the bits that make it stand out as probably THE best first person survival horror game I've ever played. There's no jump scares, there's no loud audio peaks to make you jump...it's all just tense trial and error against an Ai that is not only faster, stronger, and more brutal than you...but...actually smarter than you.

This is a must play for any horror fan, or for first person shooter players who want to really put their skills to the test.

Dusk is, to put it simply, the Doom "clone" we needed. It combines aspects of early shooters (Quake, Blood, Doom) and mashes them into an entirely modernized block and let's us let loose. From it's Quake like movement to it's Half life style physics, DUSK is rich in both game play and entertainment. The guns feel incredibly to play around with, enemies aren't push-overs, and levels are designed with every difficulty and playstyle in mind, even catering to speedruns.

Dusk is an instant classic for me and many other fans of the retro style shooter genre.

I always wanted to play through the entire Fear franchise after playing Fear 3 on the xbox 360 when I was a teen.

I bought the entire franchise package on sale and really have a lot to say about the first game and it's two expansion episodes.

First off, the base game is amazing. It's probably one of the best FPS / Action titles I've ever played in my life. The gunplay is amazing, the jump scares are so well timed and actually fit. The lighting and sound design passes that of AAA games that get tossed out today...It's amazing, just absolutely amazing. A must play for all FPS fans.

Extraction Point is just as good if not a littttle bit better. It's a lot more intense and scary than the vanilla game. The action and pacing work a lot better since you're used to the structure of levels and understand what the game expects from you, which is great because Extraction Point slowly starts to twist your expectations and throw you through action packed spooky loops.

Skip the third episode, it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bizarre and really out of place.

Tl;dr for this review - FEAR is a masterpiece and should not be slept on, you owe it to yourself to experience this title.

This is so innovative. It isn't afraid to explore the sexually appealing and violent side of Lovecraftian / Cosmic horror.

It's not Edgy or creepy or going to far, it's unsettling but alluring and the Frictional Games approach to exploration and story telling is so on point that I cannot WAIT for this to come out in it's entirety.

Despite what anyone says, this is not pay to win. It's a lot of grinding and understanding layers upon layers of mechanics and skill leveling.

Probably my new favorite MMO of all time. Sorry ESO, sorry WoW.

I've played since beta, really upset that I lost all my characters and basically my entire account during the migration to steam but that doesn't mean I'm not going to suggest people check out Destiny 2, especially since Year 1 is free and the changes made in Year 3 to make it more RPG / Loot focused while driving players to explore their own routine of content as opposed to previously grinding whatever the newest expansion was.

Nice Job, Bungie.

I mean, what else can we say about .hack? It's a franchise inspired by Serial Experiments Lain that went on to inspire the entire anime / manga "trapped in an mmo / other world / internet" genre. Sword Art, Overlord or whatever, ect. I don't watch Anime or read Manga on a casual or hardcore level, but I've absorbed everything related to .hack and Serial Experiments Lain due to how insanely complex and beautifully thought out both IPs are.

However, this is a review of .hack/G.U. Last Recode, which is an HD remake of the original GU trilogy plus an additional fully flushed out 4th volume. So...what's the verdict? It's...well...It's just the same game I played as a child but...more pretty?

There's no major gameplay changes. No bugs are fixed which makes a lot of the exploits in the original games possible on top of adding some new ones due to Mouse / Keyboard support being quite...buggy...

This game does not play at all with Mouse and Keyboard. You absolutely 100% need a controller to play this game. It's a pure hack and slash / movement based jrpg with a LOT of QTE and Button Mashing sequences. Do not let the "Mouse / Keyboard supporter tag convince you it's possible, it's literally not despite the keyboard enabling a lot of new exploits and cool tricks.

I guess...I should say I'm incredibly nostalgic and happy that this exist and despite me buying it about a year ago I'm just now getting around to finishing it and attempting to 100% it. But at the same time it makes me want more from the world of .hack, it makes me wish they put more effort into projects like Last Recode, like a Last Recode style remake of the original 4 games, but I'm just torn as a fan of this franchise...Yes, we all appreciate these remakes / rereleases but at the same time it only shows us that Cyber Connect 2 is capable of more and the devs / writers have confirmed they have a future for the franchise but is it just more stuff like this...more (basically) ports to PC and next gen consoles and additional volumes / episodes?

Tl;dr - Nostalgic classic, makes you want a remake of the original 4 volume saga or just an entirely no trilogy / saga.

Literally nothing. This game is empty. It just takes up space in your library and isn't even an actual game.

I bought the game in early access years ago when there was promise of free expansions, hundreds of hours of content, and it was being pushed and praised by a lot of YouTubers.

I quickly realized a lot of YouTubers I trusted reaally ♥♥♥♥♥♥ us over with this one...

The game, at launch, was fun at it's core. You we lead to believe worlds were randomly generated like minecraft despite them being more like randomized arenas / dungeons for you to explore...as in World 5-1 will always be a jungle and world 5-2 will always be a lava world, stuff like that.

This put us off at first, kinda realizing the game wasn't really what we thought, and we were already bummed since the RPG elements were basically absent. You could equip items and you had preset skills to unlock in a linear flow.

When we first bought the game, there was basically an entire day of patching, meaning my 2 hour window for a refund dipped pretty quick...not that it would have mattered but if you expected minecraft zelda like they promised and instantly realized it was more like one of those minecraft rpg clones on the xbox live arcade from like 2015.

I guess...to get to the point....we were promised this ever evolving and always changing game and what we got was a really bad vanilla experience and a bunch of lies about secret worlds and stuff to encourage everyone to spend hours in game and ♥♥♥♥.

We were lied to...by developers who promised a DLC free future and huge Youtubers who told us the game was the next best thing.

Years later, the vanilla game is dead and all we have are DLCs keeping it alive.
