Good little game from what I've played of it so far. Feels very much like Sid Meier's Pirates, but without having to deal with the dancing mini-game. :P

Looking forward to completing it. Hopefully the devs will have the vision to expand on it even more, maybe give us a bigger map to play around with (wouldn't it be cool to have a pirate game that lets you play around in the whole world. There was piracy all over the place in the 18th century after all, would be cool to plunder the East Indies, or South-East Asia), and have more robust trading.

It's a great game, and the English patch available here on the Steam forums makes the game completely playable. There's a bit of jank in a few of the event scenes, with some of the translations being really odd, but overall nothing that really takes away from actually playing the game.

Hopefully there will be full official English support one day, but I won't hold my breath.

Having a hell of a lot of fun with it. Lots of potential to grow further, the latest updates have added quite a lot of good stuff and the gameplay is engaging.

Just find a good community server that you like and you'll have a great time. Already made a few friends.

Continuation of a game that has one of the greatest stories ever done in a video game; Red Dead Redemption 1. This expands on that story and makes it all the more rich and fulfilling.

Avoid Multiplayer though.

Early Access Review
I wish there was a "Maybe" option for Steam reviews.

Pros:
- If you have a computer that can handle it, you can have huge battles which is nice.
- Combat is fun when you don't experience any bugs (like shields on your back don't protect you from missile weapons).

Cons:
- Bugs, bugs, and more bugs, but at least they're actively fixing them.
- Most animations are ugly. Characters swing their weapons like brain-dead fools.
- Graphics are not really that good for a game released in 2020.

Wait for more patches, and wait for a sale.

I don't know how people say they can't get this to run in Windows 10. Just need to make sure that you increase the resolution in game to whatever your desktop resolution is.

The best thing about the older total wars is that the campaign AI isn't pants on head retarded (this is in part because the AI can't handle the 3D style campaign map properly in the newer games. The older Risk style campaign map, they had less decisions to make, so the decisions they did make were smarter). The battle AI isn't amazing, but it does the job, just make sure to play on hard at the least.

Graphically, it's not winning any awards, but it's consistent and personally I find it quite charming. Because there isn't hyper detail, it leaves more to your imagination.

Basically give it a try, it's fun. Also, there's a Westeros/Game of Thrones mod that was made for it recently as well that is quite well done.

Solid game. Really did well with the Warband engine. I'm especially pleased by the fact that this is not a commonly depicted time period, and not only have they done that, but they've done it exceedingly well. Definitely worth playing in depth, there's a lot of great historical information here.

Battles are fun and engaging, the AI is quite decent (obviously it'll never be as good as an actual player, but for what's there if you're playing without having too many newbie options turned on, it'll give you a good challenge).

My favourite part has to be the fact that when playing as an enlisted soldier, your commander actually gives you tasks to do; hunting, taking on bandits, delivering letters, guarding outposts, etc. There's a lot of mods that will let you play as a regular trooper, but you're basically just waiting around with nothing to do, while with this you don't have that issue at all.

The story segments are also quite fun. I'm enjoying it immensely, and the price is reasonable for everything that you get. Loads of people say "If ___ was a paid mod, I'd love to give $20 to it". Well, now's your chance to show if you're willing to support modders who made this, or if you're just talk and your words are equivalent to a fart in the wind.

One of the greatest RPGs of all time. There really isn't much more to say about it, just buy it and play it and see what you've been missing.

Had it on disc many years ago, unfortunately I lost it during a move. Definitely one of the greatest RPGs of all time, glad it's on Steam. Only thing I'd recommend is the widescreen mod and a couple of other fixes so it looks good on newer computers, but otherwise there's really nothing that needs to be done to this game.

I've played this on my cell phone for quite a while. Figured since I had a bit of money in the ol' Steam wallet, I might as well give this a buy here too. Definitely a great game for anyone who enjoys roguelikes.
