Cyberpunk 2077 is a special case, its launch back in 2020 was disastrous and a huge letdown for many, including even me to some extent. After 3 years along with full support from CD Projekt RED, the game turned out to be one of the best experience you can have in gaming.

"I Just Want The World To Know I Was Here. That I Mattered." - V

Pros:
- The game is a visual masterpiece, it may be one of the best looking games out there if not the best.
- Peak representation of the Cyberpunk genre. If you have seen the Bladerunner movies or Ghost in The Shell, this game's visuals will totally blow you away.
- Full Ray Tracing Support, best implementation of it in the industry.
- The world building is astonishing with extremely detailed backstory to literally everything. Thanks Pondsmith.
- Characters are so well-written and memorable.
- Great voice acting all around, even Keanu did a fantastic job as Johnny.
- The story is one of the best in the industry with multiple endings based on your actions that also carries deep and meaningful messages.
- Extremely immersive, the game very rarely takes away control from the player, not even during dialogues or scenes and there are extremely few loading screens if you choose not to fast travel.
- The soundtracks are all bangers, filled with adrenaline during combat, with emotion during various moments and dialogues. It's just great man, zero complaints
- The radio music is also top notch, most of the songs are all bangers and as of 2.1, you can turn on the radio anywhere, anytime. (Not during combat or quests though)
- Side missions/gigs are well put together and many feels like story missions quality wise (Just like in The Witcher 3). They can also influence the main storyline.
- There are TONS of side content
- Night City is huge and is filled to the brim with details, casually strolling or crusing around alone feels good.
- You can buy apartments, renovate the one you start with and you can also buy cars and bikes that are a joy to drive. (Some vehicles have built in weaponry as of the 2.0 update, like turrets and missiles)
- Tons of clothing you can choose from to customize your V along with a wardrobe system to save outfits and switch between each on the fly. (They no longer have armor stats or anything, purely cosmetic now)
- You can customize your character appearance at any given time by visiting a ripperdoc or by interacting with the mirror in one of your apartments.
- Lots of Cyberware/Augmentations, each with their own unique abilities and skills. Pay close attention to them if you have a particular build in mind. (Sandevistan build, netrunner build etc.)
- Really good skill trees with great skills and abilities that offer you great build options and variety in gameplay. (You can refund and spend skill points without any limitations, but be vary of your attribute points as you can only respec those once during a playthrough, unless you use mods)
- Combat is one of the game's strongest aspect, it is just straight up a good time with really good and satisfying gunplay and music.
- Quite a lot of guns to choose from that you can upgrade, and customize with attachments or mods. They also pack a punch with smooth animations.
- Crafting system to craft guns, quickhacks, ammo, throwables and a lot of other stuff.
- If you love making screenshots, Photo Mode got you covered.
- Mod support, and there are LOTS of amazing mods for the game.
- Steam achievements, trading cards etc.
- The game has about 18 DLCs and only a single one is a paid one, and that is the huge Phantom Liberty expansion (That I also reviewed).

Neutral:
- Stealth can sometimes be hit or miss, but if you learn how it works, you can easily get used to it.
- NCPD activities/gang hideouts can feel repetitive, but it's not bad at all, since it's totally fun, because your character is always improving and evolving and you just want to try out a new gun or a change in your build, but it's better if I point this out.
- The 3 lifepath options at the beginning do not give you 3 seperate storylines, but just unique dialogues, unique items and unique gigs. I'm completely fine with these, I'm just letting you know.
- The inventory system can be a bit of a mess for players who are not yet familiar with its system.
- I found consumables like food and drinks to be kinda useless most of the time.

Cons:
- V's shadows and their overall animations are unfortunately still pretty bad, but you only notice it if you really pay close attention to it and trust me, you won't.
- Customizing a car part-by-part is not possible, I honestly do not mind this at all, but some people might do.
- 2D LOD can appear in a distance
- Occasional minor bugs can still happen, nothing game breaking however. It's not 2020 anymore!

Advices/Tips:
- Do not install the game on a Hard Drive (HDD).
- Make sure during your first playthrough to play as much side content as well and do not rush through the main story as it can lead you to the worst endings possible.
- To remove 2D LODs from the distance, thankfully there is a mod called "Hide Distant Cars" that does just that.
- Mods do not disable achievements.

10/10, after 3 years of constant updates from CDPR, the game turned out to be one of the best open world game out there and one of my most favorite game of all time, there are just so much things to do in Night City, so much to discover, so much to experiment with. The story is honestly peak fiction with extremely memorable characters, deep meaningful messages about life itself, human connection, posthumanism and so much more.

If you still have negative opinions about the game, you are most likely still stuck in 2020. Give Cyberpunk another chance and I guraantee that you will have the time of your life with it along with its expansion, Phantom Liberty
