I've played this game for 20 hours and still haven't seen the end of it. It's difficult but incredibly fun and the card synergies feel intuitive. Deckbuilding is kept simple by incrimentally offering ways to reorganize and the planning and strategy elements feel natural to the flow of the game. Even though I don't remember all the cards or relics I still have a good time because all the mechanics are straightforward enough to grasp in moments. Likewise, the enemy preview system allows seat-of-the-pants gameplay without sacrificing a strategic element of turn based combat. I adore this game despite failing to win so many times, and I urge anyone who's a fan of roguelites or deckbuilders to give it a shot. It's a lot of fun and full of diverse playstyles.

Amazing combat, aesthetic return to form, absolute blast to play. Nothing more to say than RIP AND TEAR

Horrible game, terrible, horrible, disgusting. 10/10 I can't stop playing.

Jokes aside this game is actually pretty great, but a little barebones without the WoTC DLC. The mods make up for it though, and I've found lots of enjoyment in this installment of the franchise. I'd love to see XC3 eventually.

Combat and mobility flow into each other seamlessly, the world truly feels like an open playground for destruction whilst still allowing for some level of difficulty. The powers are all unique and comfortable to use, and there's a steady repertoire of new combat interactions as you progress through the game. Progression is minimal but always helpful in the form of perks and stat increases. Missions are fairly simple. either having you sneak into a location or completely destroy it. The rebound from stealth to chaos using the disguising mechanic feels natural and truly exhilarating as you change your very face to avoid being caught out before destroying everything when all hell breaks loose. Love this game so far and I'm probably only a third of the way through it.

Early Access Review
Good game, can't wait for more content. Same lovely design and addictive game loop as the original, with a lot more to come. Early access means not much of the lore is in yet, but what is in is very exciting.

Katana Zero is a nearly flawless masterpiece of a game. It takes a lot of elements of the fast paced combat of Hotline Miami and infuses them with an interesting take using the slowdown function. The controls feel amazing (on a controller) but keyboard/mouse defaults are a bit unsavory. Without spoiling much: This game is dark. Very dark. You may not want to play it if you're squeamish about blood and gore, death of children, and general dark themes like Mental Health, Loss of Innocence, and PTSD. ♥♥♥♥ is NASTY in this game. It took me a day to beat it and god I love the level design, can't wait till the new content in a few months. I recommend this game if you enjoyed Hotline Miami's story and gameplay, as it does borrow a lot of the basic story beats as well (in a radically different way).

Absolutely stunning visuals, a lovely soundtrack, and a story that might not say much but tells so much more in text. Hyper Light drifter is a treat to the eyes, the ears, and the brain! It's also tough as nails and quite a challenge to beat.

There's so much to do and see in the game, including several collectibles, some of which I haven't even seen. The bosses are a treat and remind me of older games like Megaman, following interesting patterns that allow for learning as you watch them.

Your limited health pool and amount of medkits make this journey to heal yourself and the world quite an arduous one, but it's worth it in the end, especially with all the abilities you can find. All four areas are teeming with life and character, and there are even alternate outfits if you're so inclined as to find them.

I still haven't finished the game 100%, and I doubt you will either without a walkthrough, but there's a lot of detail in the environment and a lovely plethora of entertaining locales, so even if you aren't a completionist there's most definitely something for you.

There really isn't much I can particularly say about this game that hasn't already been said. It's an amazing shooter that's withstood the test of time, and I can 100% say that there really is no other experience like it. The wit and charm of each character's personality and the overall cartoony feel make this game something I can come back to just to listen to all the silly voice lines. Team Fortress two's community is also one of the friendliest out there in terms of massive multiplayer games, in my opinion. I very rarely feel uncomfortable with my fellow players, all of which seem to understand that fun is the ultimate goal.
