Is Integra an addict?

Anyone who is familiar with Hellsing knows that Integra is very fond of her cigars. So much so that in nearly every scene she’s in, be it in the manga or anime, she’s chain smoking cigars like it’s nothing! How she hasn’t died of lung cancer is a mystery to me, but what I’m more interested in is if she has an addiction to cigars and why that might be the case.

My theory is that with her job being the head of an agency for hunting vampires, as well as being Alucard’s master, cigars help her keep calm and focused. Which would be very important for someone in her profession.
