Unfortunately, it's easy to get yourself into "What now?" kind of situation if you miss something or progress the story differently that the devs expected. The pacing falls off in the second part of the game and I found myself just grinding for resources for a while.

Even though Spiritfarer has flaws, I think it's well forth the money, especially if you get it on sale.

If you're here for the MMO aspect of the game, you'll be disappointed. In the current state, best you can do is get on discord with friends and run around together. For some puzzles that's enough - mainly the ones where you have to search for something. All the puzzles are completely single-player though. I guess for logic puzzles you *could* strategize together on how to solve them, but that's like trying to co-op a sudoku.

If you disregard the failures of multiplayer in it's current form, this is a great game. I'd say one of the best puzzle games ever. It's really filled with content. You could finish the main "questline" in 10-20 hours, depending on how fast you are at solving puzzles, and there's so much more content than that. The sheer variety and volume of puzzles is astounding. Logic, platforming, hidden objects, daily puzzle rotation.

The difficulty curve is pretty forgiving in general. I'd say there's about 60% of easy-ish puzzles, 30% of decently challenging ones and 10% is hellishly difficult.

If you enjoy puzzles, this game is definitely worth the price, even with it's current problems.

Has its highs and lows, but it's one of those games, where you'll come back to it every few months.

A wonderful story, worth every minute of my time. The characters feel "true" and grounded, which for me is the best part of any writing - you can immere yourself in the world and feel like those are real people.
The interface is definitely simpler than I'm used to in VNs, but the more I progressed in the story, the more it made sense.
This is one of those games that I'll remember fondly for years and wish I could forget it just to experience it again.
