First and foremost, I would like to sincerely thank EA for re-releasing The Sims 2 with significant improvements, including native 4K support, smoother performance, and overall enhanced fluidity. This release is a testament to their commitment to preserving gaming history while making it accessible to modern players.

Additionally, I appreciate EA’s decision to bring the original The Sims 1 back to digital storefronts, as well as making both titles available on Steam, Epic Games, and EA App, ensuring a wider reach. This move demonstrates an understanding of the game's cultural significance and the dedication of the Sims community, which has long awaited the return of these beloved classics.

As someone who already owned The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection—originally given away for free around 2012-2013 before it was removed from stores—I can confidently say that while that version included the IKEA pack, it still required extensive mods and fixes to be fully playable on modern systems. Furthermore, it was exclusively available on the EA App, which limited accessibility for many players. The new release eliminates these issues, providing a much more seamless experience.

Regarding the price complaints: purchasing a game is always a personal choice. As a dedicated collector of EA titles across both Steam and the EA App, I gladly invest in multiple licenses to maintain organized libraries according to my preferences. If someone is unwilling or unable to pay for this game, they should simply reconsider their purchase. However, criticizing the revival of a classic solely because one is unwilling to spend $30—especially when international players, such as myself, pay relatively more due to exchange rates—is both unfair and disrespectful to the developers who worked hard to bring this masterpiece back.

For long-time fans and newcomers alike, The Sims 2 Legacy Collection is an essential addition to any library. A faithful and improved return of a legendary game.
