Well-written. Liberal with the gut-punches as well as the warm and fuzzy moments. Has a fun card-based conflict system. Yeah, this is just plain good.

Cultist Simulator takes a while to grow on you, but when you get it, you get it.

It's halfway between a plate-spinning game and a card game. You have cards, which represent resources, places, etc. You have verbs, which... you know... DO things. And you feed cards into verbs to get new cards. Simple, right?

No. Not even close.

For such a simple interface, there's a lot of exploration, experimentation, and fumbling around in the dark. It feels like trying to get the arcane details of a prayer to an elder god right. So... yeah, 100% appropriate. It also has brilliant worldbuilding.

In two hours of gameplay I got farther in my fortress than I'd ever managed playing the original version of DF. The mouse-driven system works great, and you're given a brief tutorial for how that system works - which I highly recommend for all new players. I'm only a few hours in (per my last comment) and so I'm not to anything REALLY crazy yet, but the game is still ridiculously satisfying. Strike the earth, gather plants and build workshops, and get your dorfs ready for DORFINESS.

Monster Roadtrip is - quite possibly - the best of the three MonProm games thus far, and that's saying something. With deeper lore and character content, a hard swap from "build your stats and get a date" to "juggle your stats without any hitting zero and SURVIVE and maybe get a date", and plenty more of Beautiful Glitch's trademark glorious nonense... yeah, this is kind of a must-play. The only weaknesses I can see are A) no modtool (seriously people start using the MonProm mod tool more, it's glorious) and B) there are still minor features to be implemented (though knowing BG's track record, those will be up in no time).

I can HIGHLY recommend this game. 9/10, Zoe is still best girl, a steal even with the DLC.

The continued stream of DLC for this - mostly free, some not - has been excellent. The new events, places, hitchhikers - they're all great. But the End of the Road update...

That's something right there.

That's A) incredibly hard, and B) the best writing I think I've seen in a video game. Ever.

I felt old. I felt so, impossibly old. I cried. I felt free, and trapped, and I understand the process of writing now more than ever and I write myself so that's a thing.

It hurts. It's a good hurt.

12/10. Play this game. That's all I can say.

A truly delightful mod. If you like STS, you'll love this.

At the time of writing this review, Steam thinks I've played BL3 for 23 hours.
I have totally not played for 23 hours.
I have no idea how this glitch works, but hey. It's a thing.

Real-time combat Scrabble.
Either that's your thing, or it isn't.
Much harder than it seems. Highly recommended.

I was attempting to court a sexy robot, when I shoved my finger up my nose and discovered I was actually a bear in an elaborate costume, thus derailing my whole frelling run.

This game... is silly.
This game is IMPRESSIVELY silly.
This is a game where the Best Girl is an eldritch abomination, where the Best Boy is a demon who wants to be a stylist and has a love affair with the Catalan region of Spain (the Caganer is actually vital to one plot thread) and where the crazier you try to get, the more likely you are to succeed.
Also, it has a multiplayer mode. A MULTI-PLAYER DATING SIM. AND IT'S GOOD. TH' HECK?!

In conclusion WORSHIP THE MIGHTY ZOE AND GIVE HER OFFERINGS OF NARUTO/GARFIELD SLASHFIC.

While glitchy and weird, especially on modern PCs, Fallout 3 is the best Fallout for the pure "Let's wade into the wasteland and see what happens". There's not a lot of moral choice in the core quest, not a lot of flexibility, but the faffing-about side missions are brilliant.

Oh, and the best weapon in the game is a freaking dart gun. Just. 100% THE BEST.
