It's so much fun. Get it. If you don't have 5 dollars, get it on mobile, it's free.

This is one of those "ruin your friendships" kind of games. Essentially, everybody is a crewmate, trying to complete all of their tasks. Except one person, who is an impostor. The Impostor(s) cannot do tasks, so their job is to try and kill everybody. The impostor has a few tools to help them be sneaky about this. They can "Sabotage", in which they can cause various parts of the ship to go into crisis, which can range from a door being locked, to the lights shutting off, to a full reactor meltdown. These Sabotages force all the Crewmates to go and deal with this crisis instead of completing the task. Sabotages are also useful for getting all of the Crewmates to go to an area, which can be useful for luring them away from the body. Impostors also can vent from room to room, so that when they kill somebody, they can claim that they weren't in the same room as the body. But the Crewmates are able to do something about the impostor(s). They get to have meetings in which they can decide to vote a person from the crew off of the ship, which is where the real fun of the game lies. If you're a Crewmate, you have to play detective, and figure out who among you is lying, and who among you is telling the truth. If you're an impostor, you have to lie and manipulate your way through the meeting, and get them to either skip the vote, or consider somebody else more suspicious than you, so that they get voted off instead. The way meetings are called are either by reporting a body that you find, or by calling an emergency meeting. Crewmates and impostors can do this, so calling a meeting does not prove somebodies innocence. On top of that, there are other ways to keep an eye out for impostors. Things like security cameras, the Admin console, and Vitals, are all really helpful for getting information about who is where doing what. It honestly an amazing game, and even if its not your thing, the money goes to the creators of the Henry Stickmin game, so no matter what its a good purchase.

Here are some tips that really helped me when I started:

1) Make sure to talk the same amount during meetings when you're a crewmate and when you're an impostor. How suspicious you currently are is relative to how suspicious you normally are.

2) As an Impostor, Sabotages are not only useful for luring people away from bodies, but because emergency meetings cannot be called during a crisis, they can be used if someone saw you acting suspicious and you need just a little bit of extra time to take them out.

3) As a Crewmate, while tasks are your main objective, 99% of the time the way you will win is by voting out the impostor. So make sure that between tasks, you should make time to check the security cameras or Admin.

4) Don't give away any unneccesary information, but don't hold back any information you have either. This applies whether you are a Crewmate or an Impostor. This sort of falls under tip #1, because talking too much makes you look like you're trying to prove your innocence, and talking too little makes it look like you have something to hide.

5) Some tasks have animations to them, such as medbay, which scans you up and down. As the Impostor cannot do tasks, this is one of the few ways in the game to prove that you are innocent. Try to save these tasks for later, so you can prove your innocence if you need to. Be aware though, that proving your innocence puts a target on your back, as the Impostor wants the most suspicion between everybody as possible, as to keep the blame off of them.

6) When pretending to do tasks as an impostor, keep in mind the "tasks completed" bar in the top right corner of the screen. This goes up whenever somebody completes a task. While this is definitely for more advanced players, leaving a task when the "tasks completed" bar hasn't moved can be a dead giveaway.

7) If you have a teammate as an impostor, make sure you work together. Double kills are extremely powerful, as it removes a big chunk of crewmates, and leaves zero witnesses. However, when it comes to voting, do not be afraid to rat your partner out if it will save your own ass. One impostor left is better than none.

8) An easy way to get people to trust you on something, at least for one meeting, is to say "if not true vote me". It's essentially the pinky promise of the game.

9) When making the game, put player speed at 1.25. Its so much better, trust me.

That's pretty much it. The only criticisms I have are that I've heard it's difficult to play if you're colorblind, which makes sense, as there are only colors to differentiate players by. More maps would be great, but that's less of a criticism and more of a wish for the future. Also a separate chat for the Impostors would be really nice, as well as a built-in voice chat for meetings.

9.7/10, would recommend to anybody who doesn't mind being manipulated by their friends.

Edit: One thing I did forget is that the servers can be... kinda wack at times. They weren't at all designed to deal with this amount of players, so sometimes you will get kicked off of your game. However the devs have said that fixing the servers is one of their top priorities right now, so it should get fixed soon. Also sometimes your game can be a little janky, like not being able to see players or the meeting screen being in the bottom corner, but these problems can be fixed by restarting the game, and it's only happened once. While these two things can be a little frustrating, once you're actually playing the game, it's still extremely fun, so my score will stay the same.
