I didn't want to write a review, but the wind is pushing me.

One of the latest patches was a big "♥♥♥♥ YOU" to anyone who supported tons of DLC after DLC because once a company goes money thirsty, they got to go all the way!

Enjoy your tons of DLC and in-game microtransactions. I'm out.

Edit: I was informed that they decided to back off from microtransactions. My guess is that they saw that the well was drying up, and now they're trying to play the good guy again.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. And I'm not falling for their need to milk more in the long term.

They also keep throwing huge amounts of money to popular streamers in the form of donations, so they can earn the praise of the viewers. Yet another way to advertise yourself through a stream, without having the streamer to agree on a promo deal.

It's a fun game.

Liberl saga was so good that it made me drop the series completely halfway through Trails of Cold Steel 2.

Sky games (and Crossbell) is as good as it gets. It's all downhill from there.

I recommend this game, because it scratches the cozy PS1 JRPG vibe I always wanted, the plot isn't "kill God" like every other JRPG, and the relative powerlevels of the characters are still reasonable.

I won't be buying the remake, because I dropped the series. But if you're between this game and the remake, you're better off asking someone who played both.

Crashes, crashes, more crashes. "It's free so you shouldn't complain about it", "it's an indie game so it's okay to be of low quality" and the internet was a mistake.

If there was a "best underrated game award" this is definitely a candidate.

An oasis of challenge in the casual desert.
