This game uses AI generated content without any disclosure on the store page. I'm pretty sure disclosure is currently required for your game to be sold on Steam.

The game is great as a time waster, but nothing beyond that. It's mindless gameplay. There is very little strategy or playstyle diversity - nothing to actually sink your teeth into. If you pick the damage boosting constellations or grind a character for several runs, every run becomes piss-easy no matter what choices you make. If you lose a run, it's not because you played poorly or picked the wrong weapons/upgrades, but because you literally couldn't win without grinding upgrades. It doesn't feel like a roguelite, it feels a clicker game.

To give you an idea of how much grinding the game expects, I literally did all content the game had to offer - I got every non-grinding achievement - before I was even halfway done grinding for level 150 on all characters. Same thing for classic mode; I did everything else before I was halfway done hitting "100%" with every starting weapon.

This game is also unpolished in a lot of ways. Several descriptions contain broken English, which can fortunately be understood after a few re-reads, but it's clear that QA was not on the dev's mind. Another example is that the classic mode constellations have broken tooltip descriptions on the level select screen. You also can't hover over weapon attributes in the upgrade menu because the upgrades take priority over the tooltips.

Overall, this game isn't what it claims to be. This is coming from someone who wishlisted the game after playing the demo during nextfest. If you want a good survivors game, there are plenty of better options out there.

I put 64 hours into the demo of this game alone. God help me now that the full game is out.

Edit: Help

A very short game for the price, but it oozes with personality and comedy.

PSA: This game was review bombed, and is rated "Mostly Negative" because people are mad that the game servers were down for the first 2 days after launch. The servers have been functional since day 3, and have only gotten better since then.

"I'll change my review to positive once the servers are fixed" doesn't justify review bombing if you don't stick to your word.

The game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing, and I'm still itching to play more and have more things to do with 150+ hours. It'd be a disservice to say the game is a bit rough and will get better with updates, because the game ALREADY feels way more fun to play than PAYDAY 2.

I played Outer Wilds on a whim a few months back, and it is now firmly my favorite game of all time.

Do not spoil anything about the game for yourself. It is one-of-a-kind. Do not rob yourself of the chance to experience the game from a fresh slate.

More than double the content of the original game, with most of the new content being even better than the original.
Most of my favorite jokes from the original game got hilarious callbacks too, and some of the new routes are the coolest concepts I've seen in a while. Worth every penny, even if you bought both games at full price.

Must agree to several contracts and privacy policies just to play their micro-transaction-filled video game at all. Most games of this type keep any intrusive agreements of that type to when you play multiplayer, but you can't even use the main menu and tweak your settings without agreeing to have your local data automatically shared with the developers. The game itself is fine in concept, though it gets quite grindy and repetitive after a while, and suffers unbearably from memory leak issues, being poorly optimized.

But hey, it's still being updated, so maybe these issues will be fixed in a few years. It won't be enough to recapture my interest and make me try the game again.

The perfect balance between making you feel completely overpowered and dying instantly to polymorphing.
