Very colourful and cheeky take on Zoro. Using your blade to punish bad deeds with a swift. Gamplay takes some lighthearted combat combined with fluid platforming sections. Its not a long game but i wished it was. Some of the encounters can get repetitive by the end cause you dont encounter many different foes and thats a bit sad. Only three of usable skills and fourth one could be called environment "skill" where you punish your enemies with style and grace. Not a bad game.

Where do I even begin.. let's start off with my own experience.
"It was a fair duel madame." said a duelist, an elite enemy, after he stabbed me in the back, when it was 1vs10 on hard difficulty during a boss fight... okay...

When I first found this game, I thought it was charming and the combat looked nice.. ohh boy, how wrong I was!
The writing, characters and their dialogue are insufferable... so bloody annoying I had to skip most of it..

The captains are angry women, with unblockable attacks and literally just get angry in their 2nd phase. The MC has a chiseled jawline and there is no beautiful feminine woman in sight either. Of course, the MC is a lesbian too. Make of all of that what you will. Truth be told, none of this would be bad, IF it was better written, the jokes would actually land and the combat was better designed.

Speaking of combat... it WAS nice AT FIRST, but nothing I haven't seen before. It was also very easy, even on hard mode it was just kinda okay, until the dreaded second half of the game, where the regenerating block and parry enemies were introduced.
The combat loop was designed on duelling, but you almost never ever fight 1v1, nope, instead you have to fight multiple enemies at once, where all of them dash with all of their attacks, which makes putting distance between you and them to use environments harder, not in the good way though, the camera has a hard time looking back too.. If another enemy comes in to interrupt a duel, they start an unblockable attack...

There are no aerial, nor aoe attacks........ AOE attacks would have done a huge difference in this game, like the girl can kick, so how about a spin kick variant, or a rope secondary item spin? Or any AOE attack at all, that is not locked in a slowly acquired special skill meter?

Okay, this might've been fine, if you had consumables or throwables yourself... but you carry nothing with you, just your rapier... so once environmentals run out, that's it... and charging the special skills takes forever, also there is not enough stuff in some of the areas either...

However, all of the combat negatives become less of an issue in the arena mode. Which was... okay and at times fun, with the gameplay modifiers, but that was about it. Honestly, if the modifiers were integrated into the campaign, let's say as skills, the combat would become a lot better, the second half of the game would be bearable and probably even enjoyable too.

The platforming on the other hand, was surprisingly fun and smooth.

It took me 2.2h to finish the campaign on hard mode... thank god it wasn't longer..

There isn't even an achievement, for finishing the campaign on hard mode either... wow... just wow...


As per the above, I found this game bad, HOWEVER, this is not a bad game, even though my experience of it was bad. It runs without crashes, stutters, fps drops and other issues. There was effort put into this game and it started off as a student project to boot.
Maybe I just picked wrongly and the game was not for me. Heh, at least it didn't waste too much of my time.

For this game, I urge you to read the other reviews, as most people have liked the game, or at least the first half of it. Maybe it will be for you, maybe not.

it is a really good little game, i really like it.
