Editing what I said: I was wrong about Locker cards, they are different. However, you were incorrect in stating they go to the Purchase pile, they do, in fact, go straight to the Locker. Their Friendship and Nightmare values are for future expansions.

Looked up the rules, like you suggested. "Defeat effects" do in fact happen before damage from undefeated teachers. Also, Locker is a keyword, not a card type. They're still Student cards, in game terms. You may continue to tell people, incorrectly, that they are incorrect, however.
