Solid persistent online PVE, Community is pretty good, a lot of people just blow each-other up and just enjoy the chaos, but has a good co-op and a lot of difficulty options. The game loop is pretty good, having different enemies and enemy types helps keep the repetition interesting, and the growth system is cool.
Has alot of game-play potential with other titles as well, could work with halo, gears, starship troopers, etc etc
So if you like games like warframe, nazi zombies, earth defense force, etc this one is pretty solid.

Ugh... ok here we go.
Conceptually and story wise the game itself kinda follows the events of Silent Hill.
The game isn't very pretty to look at, ik some reshade modes and even adding rtgi can help alot with making it look better, but ultimately the game is more boring than anything else.
Although having horrific imagery, it lacks the sustainable dread imo. The main character ws hrd for me to connect with and although i don't have alot of hours on steam, i played originally on xbox 360.
Important to note: Alot of the enemies can 100% stun lock you, some of the bosses can stun lock you, soft locking out of winning, some of the higher difficulties can soft lock you because it may not provide you enough ammo.
If your gonna play the game, just never turn your flashlight on.
TLDR:
As a game its Mid as a Silent Hill game its bad, but if you just want a close enough story, its fine.

This is the game I honestly think could do some Aggressive Inline justice, So far im really impressed and really enjoy this game with friends and alone. Throw on your own tunes and explore the art of cross spots. My Fav is the realism crews, hat goes so hard.

Games Solid, got some quirky bits, i fell out of the map two times, and its leaning really heavy into action, but i completed it, and enjoyed alot of it, congrats to the dev, you have a solid future in this. Story was a bit too inspired imo.

Early Access Review
TLDR: PVP is kinda rough, game could use some different perspectives going forward.

I would say the strongest game mode right now is their Expedition mode, however it only allowing for 3 players is kinda upsetting, this game could go really hard with duo option, and a four man team option. I also feel like Shatterline could really expand its arsenal by improving the over all online competitive scene they want to participate in. I have written several video game online game modes over time that sadly haven't come to pass, however Shatterline already embodies another game concept I wrote a while back, so if you are reading this Frag Lab please take this seriously as a recommendation for future projects. Keep the Arena Shooter stuff, TDM, Domination, all of that should stay in the game for those who want the Class based Shooter element in the game, However since you already have the active Island in the game where you run around with a 3 man squad, add more. Combine other ideas and flesh out your own interactive PVPVE world. I say take elements from extraction shooters, by adding a selection of mods, camos, and specialty weapons that can be found and kept and stored, similar to Lost Light. let players drop in and fight and extract, but add a world timelimit, where nearing the collapse of it it changes to a BR style game where its Open PVP and you rush to control a point for a ton of EXP or something. Adding elements of BR, Extraction and King of the Hill into the living world you have created would influence the community more and allow you to have an attempt at shaking up the online pvpve landscape right now.

Pro: Game looks great, and runs very well, for an early access its a worthwhile game, with interesting enough characters, and a world you want to know more about. Gun play is good, and strategy is necessary to be good at many of the goals in the game. Fun PVP Coop, and Neat Extraction-ish style pve mode.

Con: Needs more pizzaz, games lacking it ideas that makes a player want to stay, the L4D pve model is fine but could use more to separate them from everyone else. Feels like the game has a good story and concept direction, but lacks in trying things experimental or different. Team could easily drop a new game mode that changes up the landscape of PVPE or even PVP with this game, but deems to secure in participating in tried and true.
Sadly that means the PVP is loaded with extreme hackers, cheaters, and sweats in every lobby, making a casual experience in PVP pretty tough.

Thanks
