The Complex: Found Footage is one of those backrooms games that does some things right but doesn’t try to break new ground. Visually, it’s solid. The levels look great, atmospheric and detailed enough to keep you immersed… for a while.
What really works in its favor is the absence of entities. That means you’re free to explore without any constant “run or die” pressure, which honestly adds to the eerie feel in a good way.

BUT.. and it’s a big one.. there’s not much beyond that. No multiplayer, no real incentive to keep walking endlessly through level after level and no real payoff. The music’s there but doesn’t leave a mark.

If you’re looking for a chill (and solo) backrooms experience with some solid visuals and decent atmosphere, it’s worth checking out. Just don’t expect anything groundbreaking.
