I am actually kind of addicted to this game. It's really fun. Highly recommend NOT recommending this to anyone who has an addictive personality.

The reviews on this DLC are pretty meaningless, as this is more or less a Cosmetic pack+

What does this pack include that you can't get base game?
  1. An Exclusive Weapon
  2. An Exclusive Armor set
  3. An Exclusive Title
  4. A minigame for your ship.

The armor and title are primarily cosmetic additions. The title is meaningless to gameplay (Although the title is yellow instead of white, like all the others), and the armor set has a passive that is present on another, freely available armor you get through the base warbond. It is fairly distinct from all the other armors, sporting a more grecian/roman emporer vibe compared to the more tactical alternative all armors present like.

There are varying views on the weapon, so I suggest you look it it up yourself and see if it's a reason you'd want to buy this DLC. It's meant to emulate a P90, sporting a very good damage output, but burning through ammo incredibly fast. It is arguably a direct upgrade to the P-19 Redeemer, although it sports slightly less base damage. However, it has a larger magazine, and faster fire rate (Both are also one-handed weapons).

The biggest value in the DLC, in my opinion, is the Stratagem Hero minigame. The spot to play it is always on your ship, you may have noticed it, but the ability to play it is locked until you purchase this. It is essentially a practice tool for inputting strategem codes. Extremely helpful if you are slow with inputting them, and want more practice.

It is important to note that the Warbond included in this DLC is able to be gotten without spending any money in the game, instead grinding for the currency during missions. I have around 15 hours in the game, at the time of this review, and I have earned enough to buy the warbond if I so chose. If you have already bought the Steeled Veterans Warbond, you will not automatically be refunded your super credits. You can contact the game's support, and they will give you your Super credits back.

Overall, I would only suggest buying this DLC if you wish to support the devs. It is fairly pricey for what it gives, but the price can be justified.

The game has fun aspects, but there's so little streamlining in any mechanics that it really hinders the overall enjoyment.
I WANT to utilize more forms, but I find myself only changing forms when I have to in order to progress, or beat a certain enemy. The game provides a "quick swap" button, but it is very clunky, and leaves you vulnerable while you struggle to get a grasp on it. The alternative to this is opening the menus (Which pause the game, something the quick menu does not, and going over 3 tabs to traverse your form tree.
While leveling up forms is interesting, I'm barely 2 hours in and I'm already starting to get annoyed by it. You're arbitrarily locked out of further progression in any given form when it stop giving you quests for that form (At the beginning, this seems to be half way through C-Rank.
The controls themselves are also fairly clunky. The quick menu requires you input a direction, CONTINUE TO HOLD THAT DIRECTION, and then close the menu WHILE STILL HOLDING THE DIRECTION in order to change forms. You also attack in the direction you are moving. It may be more of a personal thing, but I just find it to not feel very good. There is an entirely unused stick on my controller that could have functioned as a way to change attack direction (Also, the mouse for keyboard players). The mouse actually seems to have no function at all, requiring KBM players to navigate using the arrow keys (The default move buttons). As for controllers, there is only rigid omni-directional movement, restricting you to the 4 cardinal directions and their diagonals. It was a bit jarring to get used to, personally.

Overall. The game's alright, but there's a lot that make me want to stop playing. It's a shame too. The game in concept and art is really neat. I highly recommend utilizing Steam's 2 hour return window to see if you enjoy the game. You can get a pretty good feel for it within the first 2 hours. I will probably keep playing it, but really wouldn't recommend it to people.

Can be fun, but get ready for a single run to take all day.

As funny as "Pokemon with guns" is, It's far from being a pokemon clone. I've played a total of around 600 hours on ARK, and I have to say that Palworld brings out a lot of the fun I have on ARK but without the INSANE grind. I don't have to fear losing a Pal I spent 2 weeks breeding up because it got stuck somewhere. I don't have to spend 3 solid days grinding to make a strong pistol.

Are there things wrong with this game? Sure. Building's pretty barebones and the AI definitely needs improvements. But the game is in Early Access, and it has tons of room to grow.

I'm hoping this game stays strong for years to come.

A very fun game. Builds feel a bit limited, but it has a ton of potential (considering how new it is). Much more of an engaging auto-roguelike compared to others.

I like parts of the game, I really do. But I feel like the difficulty goes from Challenging to frustrating VERY quickly, to the point where it does not feel worth it to continue playing, around Pilgrim's Perch (The area after this game's "Firelink Shrine".

Like, if you can stick with it go ahead. You might enjoy it. But there are definitely more enjoyable Soulslikes out there.

It's alright. Matchmaking sucks for new players though.

In its current state, ARK Survival Ascended is not worth it if you already own all the DLC on Ark Survival Evolved. Most improvements of this game can be acquired with mods, and it contains less content than the original ARK.

Now, Eventually, this game will be worth it. It's $45 for all of the content from original ARK and its DLCs, plus It looks significantly nicer (Although be aware, you need a decently beefy PC, else you'll be running on low). The quality of like changes are also insanely nice and the overall vanilla gameplay is improved because of it.

If you do not own ARK Survival Evolved, I actually do recommend this game. ARK Is a fun time, although PvP can be pretty frustrating (If you're not a fan of PvP in games like Rust, just avoid it). It can be a load of fun. If you do own ARK Survival and own a decent amount of the DLC, I suggest waiting until it's on sale more than just 10%.
