Overall it's a very fun game, but it might not be for everyone.

I will preface by saying I have never played the original Alien Hominid. The game itself is very action packed. There's a lot going on, and for the most part you're left to your own devices throughout the level. It's quite chaotic in that regard. The game is very loose in progression as well. It's not like castle crashers or Battleblock Theater where you have a clear end goal. You're more or less just going through levels, beating the headquarters, and then doing it again.
One of my main complaints with the game is the charge shot and, by extension, armored enemies. There are various enemies that sport more armor than your average goon. These enemies require charge shots to defeat effectively. The unfortunate thing is, charge shots feel very unintuitive. Where it is placed by default, it tends to feel clunky when you want to jump, dive while charging. In addition, the only indicator your charge shot is ready are effects around you. I find myself just not using it most of the time, because I'll get hit too many times while charging it up. There is an alternate control layout that puts shooting on the trigger, but this unfortunately takes Jump off of A and moves it onto a different trigger.

It's definitely a fun game, but I'd suggest seeing if you like the game before purchasing. Definitely worth a grab when it goes on-sale though!

Honestly... The game is fun at times, but It's far more frustrating than it's worth. Bad pathing, janky interactions, and the overall buggy experience just isn't fun.

Both characters are extremely fun to play.
And honestly, the fact that you get a brick as a weapon makes this one of the best DLCs ever. Not to mention the brink is not just a meme weapon, it is EXTREMELY strong!

Honestly, pretty enjoyable. The late game is WAAY out there. I haven't even reached it yet. But I'd be lying if I haven't said I'm enjoying the game.

A very fun game. Although it's somewhat buggy and riddled with softlocks. I've run into a softlock at least twice in the 5 hours (at the time of posting) I've played this game.

Honestly, It requires a huge grind and you need to be in it competitively to enjoy it.

It's a fun game overall, but honestly it's not very well optimized and several of the quests are buggy.

Pot of greed is still banned. Bad game.

Soul memory is kind of annoying, but other than that it gets a bad rep.

Fun time. Easy to run all the way to the everlasting dragon and one shot everything :)
