At the moment, this is a tentative 100% yes. When it works, when you aren't crashing and getting disconnected and experiencing fatal errors, this game is a blast. You have mimics and 173s and demons and creepy things and threats inside and outside and traps are universal which makes it really fun to outplay monsters.

However it crashes a lot. It's to the point where honestly I should rate it negatively but it is just so fun whilst it does work that I can't bring myself to do so.

I hope crashing gets addressed. I honestly love it more than Lethal.

I understand that an 88% chance of success does not mean I will necessarily succeed 88% of the time. However, I am failing basically every single time unless I fill every single slot with focus. If I do not fill every single slot with focus, I am legitimately failing the checks two out of three times. Clearly, luck is simply not on my side. As there is nothing I can actually do to change that, I choose to simply not play it any further.

If you are ok with RNG absolutely rawdogging you at every conceivable chance, maybe this is for you.

The sheer amount of ways one can approach the encounters here is crazy.

There are many ways that players can go about progressing through the levels and I am impressed.

In this game you will receive multiple varying paths through which you can tackle the challenges laid out before you, truly inspiring.

There are many different tools an individual is provided with both within the character's arsenal as well as the environment itself through which said individual is capable of accomplishing victory or conversely meet their untimely demise, very impressive.

The amount of fire that you can fire at the non fire to make it into fire is really hot.

The revolver mechanic is that little something extra that allows this game to stand out from its card roguelike brethren.

By no means challenging. If you play optimally you will easily find yourself with thousands of spare money at basically every point. But it is fun, and it is free. There are paid games by large studios that feel as though they are held together by duct tape and glue. Comparatively this game is quite sound.

Give it a shot (heh) . All that you'd be wasting is your time, and if not, hey, you've got yourself a neat little something to wile away a few hours on.

Genuinely, very fun. It is poker + , with the + being purely positive. A few bits of wording on abilities are confusing, but once you understand what it actually means, everything makes sense with how it interacts with one another. (Cards which trigger on a flush and straight will also trigger on a royal flush as but one of many examples). Mistakes are purely on the player, aside from the obvious rng regarding drawing from a deck in the first place and the abilities you find yourself offered and against throughout your runs, it feels exceedingly fair and well polished. 9.5/10

Brief edit before the rest of this review: I like this dev, they seem quite open about getting things worked on, so I truly hope that this review can be changed to positive soon enough. I think the full-release publishing may have been jumping the gun a tad and it should have stayed in early access (if it ever was, I only got it at it's full release). Now onto my original review:

At this moment in time, I wholeheartedly do not recommend this game. It is not bad, and later on it may blossom into something of its own. But right now, it just has nothing going for it. There is no reason to return and play or try.

3 areas each with two skills each, all skills are basically the same as one another in terms of progression. Level it up, buy / work on the next item in the list until you have done enough of it to level up further, buy the next thing, rinse and repeat.

The game wants you idling, which is fine, but it doesn't support offline progression (meaning you have to leave it running), and 5 out of the 6 skills require you to be semi-attentive unless you leave it to your workers (who are all significantly slower than you, and significantly limited in number, also being tied to the level of your skills.)

It is essentially an exceedingly slow clicker game, where you click, then wait 5 to 15 seconds, then click again, then wait, so on and so forth. The only skill this isn't relevant in is fishing, which you hold down click and then get to leave your character working at it.

I'd say probably over half of the items have absolutely no value to them, outside of the literal (in game) monetary value that the game prescribes them. You can't use them in crafting, you can only sell them.

And that's all the gameplay loop is. Make enough money, buy the next thing which gives you *ever so slightly* more money than the last, buy a worker to actually allow you to automate stuff, rinse and repeat.

You can't make yourself faster, you can't make your workers faster, you can't get rare items outside of random balloons and birds that you click and give you regular items you're already making or a measly amount of coins, you can't swim in the fish pond, you can barely explore (each area takes about 10 seconds to walk from one end to the other and are the same exact layout every time).

I think the map and fast travel severely hurts the game. Everything feels too crammed in, there's nowhere to go or see. If we could manually walk from one place to the other or we had to explore to first unlock the places that would be such a marketable improvement.

As it stands, it's dull. It is just so dull. And it saddens me because the art is cute.
