I'm a huge FF fan and honestly the original FF...was awesome! This is the OG FF and if your on the fence about getting this one don't be. I enjoyed every minute of playing through the game. It felt purposeful, and was enjoyable. This remaster has improved audio tracks from previous versions, and the sprite animations are on point. As they should be! If your on the fence about getting it don't be, this is a good game, and is one of the best Classic RPG's I've played.

The only critiques of the game that I have are: The enemy spawns are frequent. In some instances it felt too frequent. However, the game adds a feature to speed up fights and set your "Warriors" on auto pilot to make this feel a bit better. The second critique is the fact that the game gives you very little to no guidance one where you should go. This can be easily remedied by googling a Walkthrough Guide...OR...You could simply play through it blind and journey around the land until you find where your supposed to be.

A lot of the added features are well done, and the game even lets you listen to the soundtrack of the game while in the game menu. Along with Bestiary's, and other features that make this game a steal. Plus, it also has a kind of new game + when you finish that lets you keep your save when you finish. Cherry on top right there. Alright, time to move on to FFII. Enjoy your day peoples!

STEAM DECK REVIEW:
Battery Life. Apx. 1 Hr on Standard Settings
Story: Short; 24 Hours
Replayability: High
Improvements: Better than Borderlands 3 in both story content & replayability. Introducing Chaos Levels allows the difficulty and quality of look to be increased exponentially. This includes a weekly featured run, and chaos runs to fit your appetite. This function also applies to zones outside of the Chaos Room which felt great when catching up on side content.
Bugs: Enemies get stuck from time to time. Nothing else that impacts experience.
DLC: Could be better. Added a few "Challenge" levels with a specific theme. Not any major story content.
Verdict: 8/10; Runs better on deck than expected without any real crashes or major issues. If you are playing on battery life keep in mind you will get about 1 hour's worth of time with this game. It feels less like a borderlands game and more like Assault on Dragon Keep extended edition. I thoroughly enjoyed it though.
