This is one of the best FPS-strategy games out there. Very detailed and fair maps, an acceptable/fair grind to earn operators.
I played this back in the beginning when it took 10-20 minutes to find a queue. It has really transformed since then with tons of ways to play it and ways to outsmart the enemy. As someone who was high ranked and addicted to CSGO for its own strategy, I found this way more fluid and having a way better/different skill gap. One thing I am SHOCKED by is this game came out in 2015 and games like PUBG and Early Access garbage can't even manage to get anything as good as Siege's shooting and moving mechanics. The only gripes with the game is MM is a bit chaotic in Casual (Which is fine) you'll get 1-2 good games at the start and then you'll for some reason get queued with the trolls/Controller users somehow right after like the game wanted to punish me for having some really good games. If you're okay with grinding to buy new operators (Which to be fair forces you to get use to each operator so you can really decide who you prefer at a steady pace). I do hope that new Operators aren't more rehashes/clones. Would like to see new mechanics and features added over YET another hard breach operator and yet another full body shield user...

Buggy, unplayable, and overall not fun. Colorful fetch quest simulator with no story or meaning to play. Reminds me of Sea of Thieves and Monster Hunter but at least those games had something going for them.

Update since last time played:
Game is still far from what was promised and still a lackluster experience. It's great that the dev team behind it is still continuing with the updates but the game is still nothing more than a meme.

As someone who is semi-new to the Monster Hunter universe but a veteran to PC ports and gaming alike, I'll say I am quite shocked on how many people dislike the port. The game runs perfectly for me at max settings with only a few FPS dips during "turf wars", and I assume I am just a weird person but I found the default bindings workable/good (Though I am only using the bow so prob. easier for me). I think there is a few settings I'd like to see added but nothing I can't manually disable via the files. (I think even motion blur is in there). I think the friend system is a bit wonky and I dislike not being able to share a hub with others but it's all minor things to a fun and exciting game.

Game runs at about 200 FPS on average with slight dips to 60/45 FPS when too many bigger monsters are on the screen (I.E turf wars)

As someone who really enjoyed Dishonored. (Dishonored 2 bing okay) I was hoping for a good game with this spin off but sadly it was VERY short, no real meaning to your actions. You can kill or not kill and you can still get the same ending. (Only two endings and at the very end you select which one you want) Was hoping for a game that was twice as long or had something cool. Kinda a bummer

Always hard to give a review to something that is in Early access because any seceond it could change for better or for worse. But with 10+ hours in the game I think it's time for me to give my opinion. As someone who didn't play the first and only playing this with my friends I find it quite fun for what it offers currently. I think a few things are wonky and a few bugs make it difficult but if you can get it cheap like my friends and I did then it's a good time killer.

Pros:
Simple but fun mechanics
Many paths to how you customize your shop
Many ways to earn cash (Though some are clearly better)
A weekly "event" that can force you to change how you run your shop to keep the game not dull
No latency on servers
Good controls
Passable assests on buildings and floors

Cons:
Joining or finding a friends server is a pain (No steam "join game" feature)
Bad character designs
Currently has a limited selection of items you can sell
Upgrades are simple and have no further paths currently
Chest bug in MP can cause items to vanish
Bots are expensive yet very limited and slow
Building a second floor in your shop doesn't give you a highlight of where it's going or a warning to remove your stock in that spot (Can place stairs ontop of your tables and shelves so you lose whatever was below them)
Chat bug can make it so your chat shows nothing but pops up old messages whenever an item is sold or stolen
Shoppers seem to be preplanned where they go in your shop. Wish some actually walked around emulating a real shopper
Shoppers able to buy more then one item
Shoppers not getting butt naked when they equip an iron chestplate
More weight upgrades, as my friends and I always had to slow walk with 200+ pounds in stock or add saddles or some type of transportation

As I only have two hours in the game I am by no means an expert but the many gripes and things I like seem to be alligned with what everyone is stating in there own reviews. The main compents are very solid and pretty much just "Xcom with mechs" The main issues with this game lie in combat. With bad camera angles, slow attacks, Cancel not working everytime, and the sometimes freeze frames of nothing after an attack just make it super boring to fight. But at the very least these are small things that can be fixed with an update and not anything game breaking. Another small gripe I have is the finance guy KEEPS PAUSING THE GAME EVERY 2 DAYS to warn you that you are low on funds when your funds don't change until every 30 days, yet EVERY other day he spams you. Also the slow heal/repair times kinda make it hard for a new player, In Xcom you can just hire new soliders and send them out but with this game you have to hire new soldiers AND keep mechs not totally destroyed as only way I can see of getting new ones is through scrap you find during fights. Hope they fix the turtle paced fights and make repair/heal times faster, but besides that I can see myself playing this for a long time (Of course if modding gets added which would be a shock if it didn't for a Paradox game)

Although this game is a very visually lovely looking game and has some nice ideas. The slow pacing really dulls it for me. I understand that it's very story based but I guess it's just not my thing.

An insanly good 4x game that does everything right and only a few small things wrong. Well worth the price but the "editions" are kinda scummy but thankfully give nothing P2W just silly stuff.

An amazing adventure with breath taking art and music that will really show that the video game industry can still make amazing games without ruining them with AAA garbage and lootboxes
