Pretty enjoyable thus far. Its better than the first Contracts, but still a little buggy. Sometimes Raven's audio won't play (just the subtitles) and the only way to fix it is with a restart, for example. Quite a few minor bugs like this, but nothing game breaking. The enemy AI, even on harder difficulties, is laughably easy. If you play shooters AT ALL, I'd recommend playing on one of the two hardest difficulties as the lower ones will be utterly boring. Overall a pretty decent game, but probably worth picking it up on a sale rather than full price.

Early Access Review
Its like Terraria but top down with a dose of Stardew Valley thrown in. If that sounds appealing to you, you're probably going to have a good time. Been playing it here and there since the day it came out and really happy with the new content they are putting out. Easy recommend tbh

A really fun game that leaves you wanting more, in the best of ways. There's a nice balance between fun and difficulty that makes the game accessible to all sorts of players, but still requires enough patience and skill to see through to the end. I'd love to see an expansion to the content available, but it absolutely is worth the price of entry as it stands. Will definitely be playing more of this even though we have now finished it off!

Love this game when it first came out in early access along side the pyramids being built, and still love it now. Really happy to see it "finished" :)

Honestly, having a blast with this game. Bought it on release day and have been chipping away at it as time allows with my partner and we love it. There's a few QoL changes that could be made, and some very minor bugs, but looking at the negative reviews, I'm not really seeing any of the issues other people are reporting (doesn't mean they aren't happening, they just haven't impacted either myself or my partner). The inventory can be a little awkward at first, and I know I'm going to be sad when the game is over that there wasn't more content haha, but honestly, its great fun, and especially at such a good price. Here's hoping the devs put out a buuuunch of additional content for us to consume!

A cool little demo of Nova Lands, this prologue is very short and sweet. You can finish the entire thing, pretty casually, in a little over 1 hour, but it does a good job of giving you a taste for the main game. Having played the steam fest demo of the main game, which contained a lot more content, this was a little disappointing in its length but I think it does a good job at what it sets out to do. Just go in expecting a brief experience and you should have a good time :)

After putting over 80 hours into the betas, I was very much eagerly awaiting this release. And I am very, very happy with the release.

There's still some issues that require addressing, but the devs are clearly aware of those and have plans in place to at least try to get at them. Balancing, under-served weapons, power gaps in gear, cheaters, etc. are all things they are actively talking about and working on which is excellent. That said, the game as it is is great and very enjoyable. If you look at the steam boards and reviews, or the discord, you'd think that this game is utterly broken and full of cheaters... but I honestly think these people are largely just salty or not used to high stakes games.

Yes there are some cheaters - there always is, especially in f2p games. But most of the time its not cheaters - its simply someone who outplayed you, outsmarted you, or got lucky.

Yes there are some people who camp - its a very legitimate strategy in a high stakes survival shooter. But also, most of the time its not camping - its just someone who happened to come along as you were trying to extract or as you spawned and capitalized on an oppurtunity.

Yes at the moment white and green gear makes the most sense to run - but we are still early in the season. Most people don't have access to blue/purple/higher reliably or if they do are not yet seeing a reason to bring that gear in. I think the devs can address this, but I expect as the season goes on we will likely see a gradual shift to higher gear as the playerbase gets more money, resources, inventory space, etc.

People are very, very quick to jump on bandwagons here. I've even seen very very big streamers release videos saying the game is ruined because of cheaters, and in their video they are calling cheats when they have no grounds to do so - yeah the people they run into might be cheating, but they might also just be decent players. Again - I'm not suggesting there's no cheaters. Of course there is, but the amount of cheaters are so incredibly exaggerated because, similar to Tarkov and Hunt, people just can't seem to accept that they maybe didn't make the right play, didn't play as well, or even just got unlucky.

Finally, everyone wants to complain about the fact that solo players end up in the same lobbies as duos and trios. And this is just normal in this genre. Not only that but without it, the game would lose so much tension that it would really hurt the experience. I understand it can be frustrating if you get unlucky enough to lose to trios several times in a row, but there ARE ways to mitigate this. You are always going to get unlucky sometimes, but you can play slower, choose less busy pathing, just RUN when fights do start, etc. I hope they never change the solos vs. groups (I am an exclusively solo player). One thing I think they could do is make this much clearer on the steam page.

Anyways... edited review because my initial review was basically just a "its good. get it" on release. That still stands - its good. Get it! Good luck prospector!

Really enjoyed this experience. Lasted just the right amount of time to express what the developers were trying to say without outstaying its welcome. Its definitely not going to be something that everyone enjoys, maybe not even something a lot of people enjoy, but its a really compelling experience that I am happy to have played through.

Legitimately one of the most rewarding shooters in years. After putting a couple of thousand hours into Escape from Tarkov, enjoying other "hardcore" shooters like GTFO and so on, I decided to give Hunt another go after putting it down a year or so ago due to a number of reasons. But now its easily one of my favourite games in the whole extraction genre. Would love to see more maps and monsters added but even as it stands - its a great game that deserves far more attention than it gets!

So far loving the game. Not experiencing issues like some of the other reviews (so I may just be lucky - but can only comment on my own experience) and while I don't l ike denuvo being in games, its hardly only Techland that does this so whatever - its not a reason to not get the game IMO. I'll update for a more full review when I've sunk more time into it - but so far, very happy and its a great sequel to the first game. The tutorial/prologue is a little lengthy (as with pretty much all techland games) but once you get into the open world, its great fun! If you like DL1, you'll likely love DL2.
