Early Access Review
Grounded 2's early access release is a great starting point, but it does feel like a few step back when compared to Grounded 1. The visual upgrade is nice in some ways, less good in others, and comes with a big performance cost in comparison. A lot of the changes made to how systems work are fine, but some of them are bad changes IMO. I'm still having a really good time playing this, and I am very hopeful that the early access development period will see this game grow into a contender for best survival game to date, which is where I currently place the first game, but if you are coming from playing Grounded 1, especially recently, expect this to be quite a bit rougher than that. Its great, and I expect it will get a lot better, but it is a little hard after playing Grounded 1 to appreciate that!

Played the game for a couple of hours when it first hit Early Access and had a nice time, but bounced off as I often do with early access titles. Decided to wait til 1.0 and I'm very glad I did! This is what you get if you mix the well designed story-driven survival gameplay of something like Subnautica with the world of Half-Life with a healthy dash of SCP... and I'm here for it!

Been soloing the game and while there's times where you can tell its balanced around coop, the game has a huge set of sandbox settings that don't disable achievements, meaning you can really cater the game to your playstyle and desired experience. I ended up restarting with everything on default, but with stack sizes set to 2x and one or two other minor tweaks, and I'm having a great time.

For anyone interested - the game works incredibly well on Linux too.

I'm looking forward to continuing my journey in the GATE facilities and finding the many secrets there are to discover. Really cool game that I can easily recommend to anyone interested!

Early Access Review
Really good base foundation for the type of game this is. It needs more content, and more importantly there needs to be more friction towards the player, but given its so far been made by one guy, who has been updating it throughout its life in early access, this is an excellent start! If you look at the trailer and think it looks like something you'd enjoy, you're probably gonna have a good time. I look forward to seeing what Tyler adds to the game over time and how it expands!

Honestly, this is the most well designed and player-friendly survival game I've ever played, by a long shot. Put a couple hundred hours into it on game pass and now doing the same again on Steam lol. Very excited to see what they do with the sequel.

A very overlooked gem of a survival game. Does things in its own different way that takes a bit of getting used to, but is really rewarding and enjoyable once you get it. Played it years ago on another platform and decided to pick it up again and remembering why I loved it so much.

Really promising demo for a neat little title. Can see this being a lot of fun with enough content and variety in the full release. Good to see the developer saying that they are planning to spend a decent amount of time building out the game - definitely gonna keep an eye on this one!

Honestly... Did not have high hopes. I really expected this to be, at best, just a slight reskin but... I'm 6 hours in and already I can see my life being consumed lol. I'm sure some of it is nostalgia - but jesus its so incredibly good. Legitimately jealous of people who are playing this for the first time with this version.

For anyone who might be wondering - playing this on linux and it works fine :)

One of the most remarkable pieces of art I've ever experienced... Don't look anything up - just buy and play it. Then look it up and delve deep. Not saying anything else.

I was a big fan of the dev's previous game, so picked this one up to give it a go. Not really sure how I feel about it - despite having "completed" it now. Its an interesting idea that feels very much like the result of a game jam or something. Not suggesting its bad quality, its just a little shallow and obviously very brief. Given the price is so cheap, I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, just something to be aware of. If you are looking for a short experience that will give you a few "ooooh I get it" moments, then you could do a lot worse than this.

Fun little game. It takes a while to get going, and realistically there's not much too it, but its a good way to kill a few hours and its stupidly cheap so I'd say if the trailer/screenshots make you think "I'd probably like th is", you're likely to have a good time.
