Fun little game & true to its simple "spot the difference" purpose. The difficulty scales as you consecutively guess the odd one out correctly, and it also comes with controls for you to adjust the difficulty to your liking as well!

A worthy addition to every gamer's library :)

As far as brick-breaker games go, this one ticks all the boxes - Great visuals, sound, gameplay & value for money. Even managed to do all the co-op challenges myself! Must be ambidextrous ;P

Early Access Review
For those that enjoy a survival RTS challenge
Age Of Darkness: Final Stand is quite an enjoyable, and challenging survival RTS game.

I'll start by saying that the only mode is 'Survival', with Campaign & Multiplayer in the works. There are few units to work with, so some may find this game repetitious at times(I do not). But keep in mind that this game is still in Early Access with passionate developers who have a decent roadmap, and I believe it's well worth the investment as it is now.

Essentially your base spawns in the middle of the map, with mini-objectives, resources & 'nightmares'(monsters) spread out through the map. The game operates on a day/night cycle, and depending on the difficulty you select, the game duration lasts 20-30 nights. Every X amount of nights a 'Death Night' will occur, whereby a portal will spawn and unleash a wave of nightmares at your base. There are 5 death nights in total, each spawning more nightmares than the last. After which, the 'Final Stand' will occur, where a mass of nightmares will be unleashed out of all 5 portals at once.

The mechanics of this game are fairly straight forward and simple after you've had a few playthroughs. The developers seem passionate and have a decent-looking roadmap for the game ahead - so I look forward to playing it more in the future and seeing where it goes.

Overall Rating: 7/10

SUMMARY VIEW-
Similar to GTA V, Cyberpunk is an open-world action/adventure game - though with a heavy focus on technological advancement. The gear, skill tree and gameplay mechanics are initially complex to wrap ones' head around, but are quickly masterable through the games' early missions which are designed to show you the ins and outs.

The unique, futuristic setting of Cyberpunk is quite fascinating - plausibly illustrating a possible direction society may one day take. The characters and overall storyline are quite interesting & engaging.

The game itself is not completely polished - there are some minor bugs that need to be ironed out and general improvements to be made, but none of these affect enjoyability/playability of the game; although it has caused some disappointment/review bombing from those who patiently waited for this games' release. Unfortunately this is what can happen when a community pressures a developer to release an unfinished game.

CHARACTERS & STORYLINE -
The unique, futuristic setting of Cyberpunk is quite fascinating - plausibly illustrating a possible direction society may one day take. Your visually-customisable character heavily interacts with a wide range of personable characters throughout the game. The conversations are sufficiently deep, allowing you to become attached(or loathe) characters. Throughout the conversations, you are often able to select between multiple responses - effectively altering relationships and gameplay.

GAMEPLAY & MECHANICS -
Cyberpunk offers a wide range of weaponry (sniper/rifles, shotguns, pistols, melee weapons & grenades) each with different rarities and customisable mods - effectively allowing you to play as a stealth, melee warrior or rambo depending on your preference.

More intriguing is the technological aspect brought to the gameplay. When approaching a hostile environment, there are various types of technology you can remotely interact with to complete the objective. Most common is the ability to disable cameras, but you can also 'short-circuit' enemies, turn sentry turrets against them, use other technology to distract them and lots more. That said, you aren't forced to play this way which is fantastic - sometimes it's fun to win via technological means, other times it's fun to go in guns blazing.

CRITIQUES -
Minor bugs aside (not even worth mentioning), some things which have 'bothered' me about the game include little things such as... If you're driving on a road and there are cars in the short distance, when you quickly gain on certain cars they will just 'disappear'. At times I've been on a busy highway(ahead of me) but when I inevitably caught up on them they just vanish, leaving me on an empty road - just strange oddities like that. In GTA V if I was flying a helicopter high in the sky where the cars are just little red-lit dots, I could fly down to a specific one and the car would remain there..

Otherwise, the only other thing which has bothered me is the occasional spelling mistake from the text-dialogue between characters, or when words don't match up with what is said. I'm detail-attentive by nature so this sort of thing bothers me.

Simply put, I don't believe this game has earned the negative reviews it has received. In a lot of cases, the unnatural wait gamers have been subjected to has unfairly skewed their review of the game itself - but that's what the community is like these days..

A fantastic sequel to the rebooted Doom 2016. Doom was always about the single player experience - I've never cared for the multiplayer aspects so my review will not be about that (though from what I have played, ID can do better).

This game is worth it for the single player alone. Games these days tend to come with a well thought out storyline as a way of keeping their users engaged, while providing context of the character(s) and their choices in game. Doom 2016 & Eternal are no different, and they do not disappoint.

ID mentioned they were building an entire universe for Doom, and that's exactly what they've done. The story picks up ~10years after the events of Doom 2016. The Slayer arrives to see Earth fighting a losing battle against the forces of Hell, and his journey to save them takes him across the universe, into Hell and 'Heaven'.

We learn a great deal more about the history of the Sentinels & Argent D'nur - and while this game answers a lot of the questions we had after Doom 2016, it has now left us with more questions!

------------------
POSITIVE ASPECTS -
------------------
- The graphics/sound remain incredible and true to Doom.

- The storyline is very in-depth and well planned out(see my lore guide).

- The monsters/weaponry have been improved (although they were already awesome in Doom 2016).

------------------
NEGATIVE ASPECT -
------------------
Doom Eternal introduced wall climbing, as well as a few platforming options such as 'monkey' bars to swing off, and hovering platforms to jump across.

The wall climbing works, and they have been plausibly added to the landscape. However the monkey bars and hovering platforms are simply out of place and don't logically fit in.

-----

I've seen other players complain about the minimal amount of ammo - this isn't an issue if you have a very basic ability to manage resources. There are plenty of pickups around and heck, use the chainsaw on a demon once and you most of your ammo back..

A satisfying sequel & finale to the 'Shadow of' franchise.

Was a great experience - to follow on with Talion & Celebrimbor's storyline and what becomes of them. Interacting with new characters such as Shelob, Carnan, the Witch King & Nazgul - and the Balrog were also fantastic.

Monolith developed their Nemesis System and Ability Tree very well, along with a basic item/gem system to compliment the extra levels in the game. The introduction of the Drake, Olog'Hai and other mosters were a welcome addition to the sequel, adding some more diversity, unique fighting and carnage.

Fortress Seiges - an interesting new concept with customisable options to strengthen yourself as the attacker or defender.

Microtransactions - hidden away in the main menu, not in the slightest bit invasive to the game. The amount of grind was fair, and did not seem at all like it had been tilted to encourage MT interactions. You earn a LOT of 'in-game currency' as well as some premium currency simply by playing through the game.

------------------------------------

All the positives aside, the few things that bothered me:

- The Uruk voices. Some of them just sounded like Dwarves from 'The Hobbit'. The voice did not at all match the menacing looking Uruks...

- A bit much dialogue. They've added on anything from 2-7seconds of Dialogue for each Uruk introduction which I feel negatively impacts the experience. I feel the dialogue pre/post fortress seiges is a bit much. Something simpler and more 'shock and awe' would be suitable..

- Acts I, II, III and IV. The first two acts progressed at a decent pace where the story was quite enjoyable and we interacted/developed an attachment to the recurring characters. Act 3 simply felt rushed in my opinion - the 'break up' I simply did not see coming despite their casual disagreements.

Act IV felt lazily done. The... 20? fortress assaults we have to go through quickly became tedious and to be honest did not feel a part of any type of storyline. That act had plenty of room to improve.

------------------------------------

All in all - Well done to Monolith for creating a fantastic game and it was great to see how you developed your beloved Nem system. Was great to continue & finish Talion/Celebrimbors story. Thank you for fairly implementing MT's as I believed you would - despite the blind hatred you received for doing so.

A truly unique game that is well worth the purchase.

You play the character 'Six', a child trapped within 'The Maw', a mysterious vessel for which there are monsters and other souls looking to end you. You have nothing but your trusty lighter and your wit to navigate you through the dark!

It is quite an engaging game and the graphics are beautiful. They have accurately painted quite a 'creepy' setting as per their title, and mirrored it with a great quality soundtrack.

The controls are minimal and simple to use. Occasionally some of the 'rooms' you creep through(which there are many) take a little bit to work out, but that's part of the challenge and the fun.

This is more of a 'Quality over Quantity' type game. The level of effort and detail put into this game makes it well worth the purchase.

I thought the ending of this game was amazing. A fascinating twist which I did not see coming!

I've purchased the Expansion Pass and am looking forward to the new chapters yet to come.

Having played the original Doom as a kid, I am thoroughly impressed with what they have achieved with this one. I will say that, I purchased this game purely for the Singleplayer experience and found it worth the cost. I don't get involved in the MP side of most games.

We see ALL the monsters we gunned down in the original, bigger and more horrifying than ever. We also get the entire arsenal of weapons we did in the original, with upgradeable modifications for increased carnage.

They have done an utterly fantastic job creating the labyrinth which is the UAC facility on Mars, and their depiction of hell is incredible - I can't help but explore every inch of it.

The graphics are absolutely incredible, and I LOVE how you can brutally 'Glory Kill'(execute) a demon which varies depending which angle/body part you attack.

The singleplayer does not disappoint in the slightest.

FarCry Primal is a thoroughly enjoyable open-world game uniquely set in the prehistoric era.

Set in the expansive and visually-breathtaking location of Oros, you play the protagonist named 'Takkar', a unique being of the 'Wenja' tribe that can communicate with & tame various wild animals.

Your overarching mission is to establish a home for other Wenja in Oros, which results in active conflict with the other two tribes occupying the vast region - the Izila and Udam tribes.

As you find more Wenja throughout the region, they will automatically be brought back to your visibly-expanding village. This process is sped up by conquering various enemy outposts & camps around.

You can tame and use various wild animals to assist you in the fight, as well as hunt a range of other wild animals for resources. Not to mention the other resources found throughout the land to craft & replenish weapons, as well as upgrading your other gear.

This game is a fantastic game in terms of its graphics, storyline, gameplay-mechanics and just generally the uniqueness of its setting.

If you're looking to enhance your experience in this game, switch on Expert, Permadeath AND survival mode on. It changes the way you play the game, as everything becomes a threat to your survival.

Very satisfying when you beat it on those modes combined ^^

I would still buy this game at full price today
