If you love the classics like Breakout, or just want to reminisce those old childhood memories then you'll most likely enjoy Breakout Recharged.

Breakout: Recharged is a cool idea for a game that has been executed very poorly and which lacks depth - That's the game in short. A longer version, though, is as follows: Breakout: Recharged was a really promising title, promising to bring back the legendary brick breaker game. However, it went pretty poorly. Why? Well, because, where Breakout: Recharged shines with simplicity, just like the original, adding only so much to the original gameplay, it also tries to extend outwards, reaching for more with Challenges, Global Leaderboards and even a Multiplayer Co-op mode. None of those things however, manage to guarantee you fun for long - Breakout: Recharged, would have had done a much better job at upkeeping your attention with Workshop support for user-created levels and more gameplay variety - Specifically, more pick ups and brick types - As it is, gameplay is highly repetitive, getting boring and becoming stale and uninteresting really quickly. When you add the questionable art direction and graphics choice on top, which half people may love, yet the other really dislike, the game doesn't end up shining a very positive light - On the contrary, it shows a lack of imagination and creativity for a product that could have had brought many new customers to the company and the classic game this title has been inspired by. To put it simply: Avoid. The price is too high for the game's offerings.
