In regards of this review: I will only review the un-modded "vanilla" version of this game.

The game is quite badly optimized. To give you an idea of my specs:

Gtx 980
Intel i7 3.50
16 GB ram

--------

So, the game makes my pc STRUGGLE at max graphics, a pc that handles witcher 3 on max with no issues whatsoever. However, it only struggles when i maximize the settings. If i set them to medium, there will be some framerate stutters here and there. I do not know if this optimization issue is only relevant to the GTX 980, or if it is worse on other cards out there on the market.

The gameplay is the same as the first one, with some annoying things (that can be solved with mods, true- but we're reviewing the game itself here.) The gameplay has to be described as "annoying" because that's exactly what it is. If all of your squadmates are on the same extraction platform, why do you have to extract each and every one of them individually, why not add an exctract all button? (There is a mod that solves this, however.)

The game continiously annoys the living crap out of you with dialogue, dialogue hindering you from doing anything on your turn. "We've just recieved a transmission due to X". Or, one of your officers pop up in the right side window, mentioning you do not have many turns left. Why am I not allowed to do anything while he's talking? And this goes on and on and on in the game! I couldn't bring myself to play it any more. (However, there is a mod that fixes this.)

The worst experience so far- for me, Is the world map. I had one day left on my research, and I started it. One day usually takes 1.5 seconds to pass. This took me three minutes, due to dialogue popping up, that was unskippable, mentionings of the avatar project growing further. The camera pans to where the avatar project is on the map, but does not pan back to where you were before on the map. HALTING your production as well. So, I start it again and another dialogue pops up. It's atrociously annoying!

If you did dislike timed missions in the last XCOM game, then this game just isn't for you. 80% of all missions are "8 turns left to finish before X explodes" or something else. While, it encourages the player to use tactics, it is just too much of it. Almost every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mission! (there is a mod that fixes this.)

The loading times are bad, just dreadful.

The game saves itself ONLY because of mods. Mods made by players to fix this boring & annoying game.

I would not recommend you buy this game. But if you do, I would recommend checking out the mods in the workshop section fixing this game!

They actually made it really, really good this time around!

The main story is rich, it has memorable characters and choices that actually make you question your decision.

I am actually am going to do an in depth review of Pony world 3. If you want to read the review before the foreword, just scroll down.

[[Foreword]]
It was 2013, my friend was turning 19 or 20, can't really remember. I happened to have his birthday marked on my phone calendar, so I would do what I always do, I'd call him like any other "old-school" timer would do and wish him a happy birthday, instead of writing a non-personal message on facebook. At the time, there was a sale of the "Train simulator - Zombie edition!" on steam. It was for an approximate of 2£ total. And, seeing as me and my friend are not really materalistic people, I thought it would be fun to buy him this as a joke gift, and guilt trip him in to playing it - and of course guilt tripping him for not playing it often enough. We had a good laugh about it.
Fast forward to 2015. We spoke about this specific gift at one of our buddy's teamspeak channels, and he stated that he'd buy me something (even though my birthday had passed), and he'd force me to play it and stream it. Thus began my nightmare that sent me in to "Pony World 3".

Specs:
Geforce GTX 980 (4GB)
Intel i7 - 3.50 GHZ
16 GM RAM
Windows 8.1

---SparkleQueef---

SparkleQueef was the name of the pony that I created. She was a horribly looking character with incredibly ♥♥♥♥♥♥ textures. Right away when I booted up the game, I was greeted with a cute starting screen of a "globe" rotating around showing us the Pony world. The floor was flickering white (game can't handle 144HZ) and it almost gave me epilepsy. The graphic options were limited and It really can't make your game look any better. The textures of this game are HIDEOUS and the UI is dreadful. However, this is a children's game, so, let's dive in to the gameplay itself.

---"You are too dirty to go to the theatre"---
You start off by your farm, it creates a Farmville-esque vibe, which must be fun for children. You start off with a good amount of cash to build your farm, or "home area." Pro-tip : Get a shower and a house, seriously, get a shower. The building system reminds me a bit of a incredibly dumbed down version of the sims- which is good, since this is a kids game. Once I had tried out buying a couple of things, I decided to set out in to the world. I went to a beach of some sorts, where I could meet other ponies (who are douchebags, by the way.) You can start talking to ponies about your farm, your hair, your job or you can gossip. This will determine weather the pony will like you or not, if this has any impact on the game - i don't know. I never managed to get that far. I really wanted to try out other things. I traveled across the glitchy landscape to the city. The city, is a great place. I mean this- honestly. This is where the game shines! There are no graphical glitches by the city and it is well organized, and there is so much to do in the city! Sparklequeef's occupation was a hairdresser (obviously), so she could apply for a job at a beauty salon. Anywho, I saw a theatre, so, I made my way to the theatre and tried to get in. However, it was closed, and it opened at a later hour- thus i waited. Once it opened, i tried to get in. But SparkleQueef was too hungry to go to the theatre. So, she went to the local Café and got herself some cappuccino. She was really hungry, so she completely gluttonized those cappuccino's. Then, she made her way back to the theatre, but SparkleQueef was too tired to go to the theatre - understandable. So, we went back home, slept, got her restored, went to the Theatre. But SparkleQueef was too hungry to go to the theatre. We went back to the Café, gluttonized a ton of cappuccino's, back to the theatre, then, the message popped up. "SparkleQueef is too dirty to go to the theatre." So, I went back to my farm and tried to shower, however, I had no shower. So, I decided to buy one, however, it cost 2100$. I could not afford it, I had to apply for a job. I went to apply for a job, but SparkleQueef was too dirty to apply for a job.

So, i closed down the game.

It's really bad, but, your kids might like it. 3/10

To start: This is not a bad game, it is just riddled with bugs and you might wonder what the hell the developer was thinking when they made the PC port.

Cons:

*Controller assignment - is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nightmare. To someone that's new to the series (C'est Moi), I just couldn't figure out where to bind the icon that was "HORSE" to my controller. They however fixed this later on, but it is absurd that the controllers do not get the regular button assignment it has on the console versions.

*Saves disappearing - is a damn near constant problem with this game. So, i would recommend if you were to get this game, at least make sure to backup your save everytime. All of my progress was removed (it might not be a lot, but it completely drains me, thinking that i'll have to go through the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ again.) There has been several steam discussions regarding this, as i did my background check, however, there appears to be no solution.

*Multiplayer - is not something I would recommend. If you plan on plugging your PC in to your TV and play some Dynasty warriors with your friends, prepare for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hassle. The game would not allow me to use two different gamepads at once.

*Graphically - The game is ok. This is not really something that I would judge a game normally on, you can clearly see that this is a ps3/360 port. The graphic options do not matter, since the game will look ugly either way.

----

Pro's

*Gameplay - is incredibly fun. There is nothing more satisfying than landing a great combo then finish it off with some epic move. Best part is that it just never seems to get old.

*Voiceacting - Is going to give you many laughs. From what I've heard, the voiceacting is so bad, that it has stuck with the game and given it it's cult status.

*Framerate - is not an issue in this game. The game runs smoothly.

Early Access Review
[Early access review]

I would not recommend for the following reasons:
The game is optimized like a bread toaster, so even if you run with a GTX 780 with SLI (or without) with a intel i7, you'll fae performance issues.
Now, the argument would most likely be that it is an early access game and we can be sure to expect some performance issues, and that is true. However, ARMA 3, which runs on the same engine, has the exact same performance issues as the DayZ standalone has.

Another reason not to recommend this in early access is how the updates are being distributed. They are barely released any and those who are released, rarely tackle with the more infuriating, game breaking issues, such as, fallin through the floor, zombies walking through doors/walls and many more.
What is most infuriating about this, is that these issues were relevant in the previous DayZ which was a mod for ARMA 2.

It's also silly that the ARMA 2 mod on DayZ is miles ahead when it comes to development. When it comes to RPG elements, guns or even vehicles. You'd ask yourself why the developers have delayed for oh, so long in order to implement any form of transportation for you, so you don't have to wander endlessly for hours on end in order to reach your destination.

My first campaign on Crusader kings II:

My king, let's call him Robert, since i've forgotten his name. My king, was a noble soul. He was married to his wife Ygritte ever since the age of 20, and they had a jolly good old time. The land was at peace, and the economy was doing well. Nine years later, Ygritte dies of a fever at the age of 29. Robert finds himself a new wife.

Robert's new wife is not very fond of him. Two years later and they have a gorgeous baby boy named "Tristran". Tristran gets sent to prison by accident by the king, since he pressed the wrong button. The king wanted to release his boy, but accidentically executed him instead.

The king was confused to why his wife disliked him even further. One night, the king went to his bedchambers and was met with a snake that was his wifes snake. He managed to survive the foul attemt. In his rage, the king banishes his new wife, and has her executed by a snake afterwards.

1 month later, and our beloved king dies of stress.

Country falls apart.

Everyone hates the new 3 year old ruler

Made a party of four squishy mages.
One to master Earth.
One to master Fire.
One to master Ice.
and one to master Spellcraft & air.

The forces combined created the ultimate glasscannon. In the end of the game, almost anything could kill me with one blow. However, the mages were so powerful they did the timewarp with all of the monsters. Ain't nonody got sh*t on the mages of power.

ULTIMATE POWER.

would ofc play again.
