General Info
Playtime: It took me ~8 hours to complete the story, the general range seems to be 7-10 hours depending on how much of a completionist you are.

Save System: This game features a save at will system, so you no longer need to find a special interact able item to do so.

Bendy and the Dark Revival is the direct sequel to Bendy and the Ink Machine.
I don't think you necessarily need to have played Ink Machine to enjoy or even understand what is going on in this game, though I do recommend playing it as it will add to the enjoyment of Dark Revival.

It features the same cell shaded art style of Ink Machine, though the lighting and textures seem to be improved on.

My Thoughts
Dark Revival iterates on what Ink Machine brought to the player without making it feel too unfamiliar.
Combat, for instance, is still very much just hit thing with pipe till dead. However, they have also added some powers that gives another dimension to the game.

The game had a very Bioshock inspired feel to it, though very paired down. It was really cool being able to upgrade your weapon through collectible scrap items and the powers unlocked did add a bit to the enjoyment.

Throughout the play through there were side quests presented to you, and it wasn't really made clear (at least to me) that they were not necessary for the main story. These quests were essentially to go super far back to the earlier locations to get something and bring it back. I didn't personally care for them or enjoy doing them...they make traversing all the way back very tedious and annoying. For me personally, skipping the side quests and entirely focusing on the main story was the way to go.

The main story and characters were very enjoyable and the game is beautiful. I didn't personally have any major bugs while playing the game (Ink Machine had some game breaking bugs in it, for context). Though there was an issue with my mouse sensitivity being super wonky till I turned off the Acceleration option in the settings.

Recommendation
If you liked the first game, you will like this one too. It's mostly more of the same with a little extra and additional polish.
If you like walking simulator style games and don't mind a very simple combat system, then this game is worth having a go at.

General Information
Bendy and the Ink Machine is the first installment of the Bendy Franchise, there is a second major sequel that was released and a mini roguelite survival side game that was released. The game is broken down into multiple Acts/Chapters.

It features a manual save system, where you have to interact with an object to do so. There are also certain points in the game where is auto saves for you, but that is not as common.

It uses a Old Timey Animation Cell Shading art style and darker lighting to set a theme.

My Thoughts
The art style in this game is amazing and the game looks beautiful.
The story is compelling enough but it's made all the better by the likable characters they introduce.
Bendy as an Icon is certainly very marketable since it just looks really cool.

Personally, I ran into some very nasty bugs in Chapter 3 where it apparently auto saved in a spot that caused me to be stuck in a wall on reload...the only way to salvage it was to completely play the game over from the start (that was awful). There was also a bug where loading the menu to look at the objectives caused the menu to be forever up until I reloaded the game. Looking online, Chapter 3 is apparently very problematic for many other people. There are reports (I didn't hit this particular bug myself) where the save system itself becomes scuffed and essentially stops being able to save at all, causing people to lose a ton of progress.

The game features an extremely simplistic combat system, it's basically just whacking things with a pipe or axe until it dies. No abilities or dodging to speak of. The puzzles in the game are also pretty simple, nothing too taxing. There is also a fair amount of going back and forth between areas.

Recommendation
Personally, I recommend the game. I had a lot of fun with the story and visuals and that alone is worth it to me. However, I can definitely see people finding this game a little boring. I would say set your expectations with this game basically being a pretty walking simulator, that way you aren't going into it expecting a ton of action. If that appeals to you, then I'd say pick it up.

I mentioned it above, but the bugs in this game (specifically chapter 3) are not to be ignored as a non-issue as they are pretty punishing when they happen. The developer doesn't seem to be inclined to fix them, as they have been there for years now. Something to keep in mind when considering your purchase, and how much you want to spend on it.

Among the Sleep allows you to fill the shoes of a 2 year old child and see the world from that perspective.
It takes you on a journey through a fantastical dreamscape and allows you to navigate the world in a unique and compelling way.

My Thoughts
Among the Sleep, while not diverging much from the walking simulator style formula, has some very interesting visuals and art design. This isn't a bad thing, I personally am a fan of walking simulator style games as a method to tell a story.

There are some puzzle and stealth elements baked into the experience, but nothing so exceptionally difficult and definitely seems to focus more on driving the story along rather than having you have to pause all that much at any given point.

I do not want to spoil too much about the game, so I won't go too much into the themes that the game tackles other than to say I was not expecting it based on how the game looks on face value.

The Enhanced Edition, which I think is the only one you can buy now, also comes with a Prologue DLC for free. You have to go into the Chapters Menu to find it, and it's a good 30ish additional minutes of game play you won't want to miss.

Recommendation
I thought this game was great, and if you are someone that is not against walking simulator style games as a genre then I think this game is definitely worth experiencing. It's certainly a game that has a story to tell and it looks amazing while doing it.

General Info
This is a Resident Evil 2 REmake which features a graphical rebuild and changing of certain story elements to streamline game play. There are basically two "stories" that you can choose from, though the basic premise of the story is roughly the same: You can play as Leon Kennedy through the first day on the job of the Raccoon Police Department, or as Claire Redfield as she searches for her brother.

My Thoughts
This game has a very different vibe to the original Resident Evil 2, that's not necessarily a bad thing since even though the original was extremely well made, the controls, pacing, and fixed camera are not for everyone. This REmake does an exceptional job of bringing the game into the more modern era of gaming. I personally would have loved a dodge in the game, but that's just me being a little picky.

The game looks beautiful, has some fun puzzle elements (though nothing quite like the first Resident Evil game with the bizarrely constructed manor), and introduces game play elements and features that provide a lot of quality of life improvement (being able to expand your inventory blessedly being one of them).

Recommendation
If you are a fan of the Resident Evil series for it's story telling, and you do not mind a shift in game play style to something that would be considered more action oriented, then this is a game that you will likely have a lot of fun playing. If you prefer the puzzle elements, tension, controls, and pacing of the original games then the changes they have made to modernize the game may not necessarily sit well with you. In my personal opinion, I think they game is amazing and definitely worth playing through. If price is a consideration, wait for the Steam sales that occur pretty often to pick it up, but the value for the money spent is there.

Self Promotion
If you'd like to check out the begging of the game and a sample of what the actual game play will look like, I have a play through on my YouTube Gaming Channel. Personally, I love Ghostbusters and I am super excited that this game finally game to steam.
It may have it's bugs and balance issues that are still getting worked on but this is still an incredibly polished game play experience.

About the Game
  • Asymmetrical Multiplayer game with 4 Ghostbusters vs 1 Ghost
  • There is a limited story element to the game, not bad but that's not the main draw of the game.
  • Ghostbusters have the ability to customize their equipment to really get it to feel how you like.
  • Ghosts have a variety of ghost types to choose from, and within each ghost type there are variants that have special abilites.
  • Ghosts can change their ghost type in the middle of the match for an added layer of strategy.
  • Huge nostalgia trip for the fans of the movies, many of the iconic sfx in the game are taken straight from the films.

Recommendation
This is a buy for me, anyone who remotely likes Ghostbusters will not be sad for their purchase. For those just looking for a fun Asym game, this is that but it will not be something that feels ultra competitive, it definitely feels more like a party game.

I will start off by saying that this game is a work of art.
The visuals that they created to tell the story are amazing and often beautiful.

That said, it would be pretty fair to say that game play wise this amounts to a walking simulator style of game. That's not anything negative, these types of games can still be pretty entertaining provided the story and visuals are good. Which for this game, they are.

If you just following along with the story, and not venturing off the path to uncover some of the hidden secrets/collectibles, it's about a 7.5 to 8 hour experience. So, using that as your barometer it may be one that you might want to wait for it to go on sale.

In the end, it was a pretty fun Cyber Punk style game which I would recommend if all of what I said above appeals to you.

If you'd like to check out some of the game play to decide if the game is for you or if you just want some free entertainment, Part 1 of my play through can be found here:

Well, this being Resident Evil 1, I doubt this game needs much of an introduction...much less a review in 2023.
It's a classic, and in spite of all the chunkiness of the original controls it is an amazing game.

I will say this, this is not the original RE game. This is a Remaster of the old Gamecube re-release, and there are some significant differences there. Just so you're aware of what you are buying.

Also, the supported game resolutions aren't really up to all modern monitors. There are workarounds via editing an ini file which are pretty easy to find if you google it. All in all, if you want a nostalgia trip, or if you want to experience the first game for the first time, this is a solid experience.

If you'd like to see a video showcasing some of the gameplay, you can find the first episode of my playthrough here:

Let me start off by saying that the game story can be a little hard to follow at times, that said though, the story itself is a good one.

I am a huge fan of experiencing horror games from different cultures, I think that there is a lot to learn by doing so. This being a Taiwanese horror game got me interested to check it out. I wasn't disappointed. The game looks great, the sounds and scares were well crafted.

There are a lot of familiar Asian horror tropes in this game, if you've even seen any of the well know horror franchises (The Ring, The Grudge, etc...) then a lot of this will be familiar territory. Overall a very enjoyable experience that I would definitely recommend to people for around 7ish hours of entertainment.

If you would like to check out what the game play looks like before you buy or if you are just looking for a play through to watch on it, check out the first episode I put together below (I will also include a link to the full playlist if you're interested):

Early Access Review
With this game being in early access, and, at the time of writing this, newly released and in it's infancy, this game is amazing and holds a lot of promise.

It is very Phasmo-like, with similar tropes and evidence gathering tools.
That being the case, it's a strong competitor with Phasmophobia. One thing this game does really well is they include jump scares and really cool ghost events that use the environment well.

I think that this game will do well in the long run, and I am excited to see how the game develops.
I also think that being as much of a competitor with Phasmo, as it seems to be, will spur innovation and creativity with both developers.

I'd definitely recommend this game to people who are fans of the genre.

If you're on the fence about buying it and want to see what it's all about, or just want to watch game play in general, I recorded my first time playing which you can watch here:

If you are looking for some really good Eldritch Horror story telling then this is a game that you will enjoy.

The complete game comes with 5 episodes, a interlude, and a finale. Every episode was really enjoyable, the art was great, the voice acting was pretty good, and the plot line was well crafted.

This is not an action game, it’s more in the vein of a horror adventure. You will be presented with a number of puzzles to solve, most of them are well designed in concept, though the execution of the concept was not always the best. There was one puzzle in particular that I had to look up outside the game because the clues on what you were even supposed to do were so obscure that I had no idea where to start. Based on what I read online, I wasn’t the only one.

Anyways, all in all, I liked the game and you probably will too.

If you want to see what the gameplay is like before buying, or just looking to watch a play through, I have the first episode here (I will provide a link below to the full playlist, which will contain more episodes as I release them):
