I had put off playing this game for a really long time, and I don’t exactly know why… I guess it never really caught my interest enough to really look into what the game was. So, I am coming into this game a lot later than many of the veteran players of the game.

I absolutely love this game, I am a huge horror movie/game enthusiast and Dead by Daylight is a great intersection of those two things (even allowing you to play as some of your favorite horror franchise monsters). So, if these things appeal to you then you should absolutely look into picking this game up.

For the details on the game itself, you can play as either a Survivor or Killer. It is a 4 (survivors) versus 1 (killer) wherein the survivors attempt to repair 5 generators to power the doors so they can escape. Meanwhile the Killer’s job is to try and kill the survivors before that happens. Each killer has their own unique power or skill set to accomplish this task.

The game has infinite replayability and with the Perk system you can customize your experience each game to make it feel fresh/different (this goes for both roles described above).

If you’d like to check out some gameplay from an average gamer you can always check out the following playlist I put together:

Hope this review helps you choose to play if you’re on the fence, see you in the fog!

Definitely a game that loves to mess with your perception and jump scare you.
The story actually winds up being pretty dark, but that's horror for you.

All in all, a good game. The DLC (Inheritance) is not nearly as good as the main game and not nearly as long but if you get a good price on the package for it then it's not bad for a quick playthrough.

Early Access Review
Unfortunately, this game cannot be recommended for purchase anymore. It had such promise but the game was abandoned by the developer for something like 2 years, he finally came back and pushed out some updates which changed the engined from Unity to Unreal Engine 5 (which, awesome right?)…the game is now unplayable for most people and the dev has gone radio silent again.

Sadly, this game should probably be delisted from Steam at this point.

Early Access Review
The game is in early access so bugs and balance issues are to be expected, and they are certainly present here. However, this game is already a lot of fun. It has really good bones and I am excited to experience the changes as development continues.

The developers certainly show that they love the game and their players. Really great experience whether solo or in groups.

~~Nightmare Update~~
The new Nightmare game mode is fun but can be considerably more work than Professional. Still a good addition to the game. The Camp Site map is amazing, I love it. The weather system is also a welcome addition as it adds a lot of flavor to the game while giving you another layer to consider during an investigation. The new ghost types are also a lot of fun, except the Raiju (that thing is cruel, haha).

~~Cursed Possessions Update~~
Excellent update, adds a lot of fun mechanics and some ways to mitigate the random nature of waiting for ghost events or interactions. Awesome work Dev team! Keep it up! Also, adding The Mimic ghost time was both awesome and mean. Well done!

Total War and Warhammer is such a great combination, it's rediculous.
I highly recommend this is you like the Warhammer Fantasy universe.

Yes, DLC can be a little pricey and yes you need to buy the first one too if you want to play the sandbox campaign gametype.
However, these go on sale quite often and if you're patient you can get it at a reasonable price.

Game used to be a diamond in the rough, but going F2P and overhauling the game to simplify things kind of ruined it.

Not a bad game for a FTP. The cash shop works on a pay for convenience model, but the game can be played without spending a dime. The graphics are good and the combat action oriented and is pretty fluid which makes it fun overall. My friends and I have noticed some problems here and there though, most notibly seems to be server lag during some intense fights (and we did confirm it was server lag). Also rarely the game will unexpectedly crash, it really is very rare though so it won't impact the game all that much.

Think of this as a blend of RTS and 4x elements. The scale of the game is amazing and the pacing of everything makes it feel like a real strategy game where you have the ability to actually plan for attack and defense. I'm not too fond of the fact that they keep releasing minor updates here and there as DLC content though. Adding different planet types should not cost the player anything extra, or at least not the $4-5 dollars they are charging for it. Overall though, a really solid game.

Braid is a very very good game. The art style and soundtrack make the game worthwhile but if you like difficult puzzles then this game will keep you very entertained. Try to refrain from using youtube to solve them, it will be tempting, trust me.

If you give yourself time to get into it, the game is pure awesome. Most fun I have had exploring in a game...it's like hiking, but with cool stuff to do.
