I loved this game. It is a fresh and interesting take on the anomaly detection/report genre with some unexpected scares along the way. It's a pretty ridiculous premise over all, there being a company that builds horror cabins with weird things happening on the assembly line, but the developers really made the idea work...and work well.

It's a pretty short play through, though there is a endless mode you can play after you beat the game. Definitely worth the price of admission, the game is not expensive.

I quite enjoyed this game, more than I expected to be honest. You play through as a psychic that can speak to the dead and cross over into the spirit realm, with this power you are uncovering a mystery centered around your past.

I thought the split screen mode where you can see what is happening in both the spirit and physical realm at the same time was done really well and was pretty inventive. The game was pretty to look at and the puzzles were pretty fun once you got the hang of your powers.

There are some elements of stealth and some chase sequences that got a little annoying at times, but that was about as action oriented as the game got. Most of the game is spent exploring and reading lore to give you the narrative experience.

Game Length: It took me about 8 hours to beat the game, and that was with some deaths during the aforementioned stealth and chase sequences. You could probably beat it faster...I also am not someone who goes for achievements so presumably it could be a longer game if you are into that kind of thing.

All told, the game was fairly good and I definitely recommend it. You can probably also get it for fairly cheap these days.

Core game play remains fun, matchmaking is still a dumpster fire.

I want to review this game positively because the gameplay itself is quite fun. In fact, despite my negative review, I would recommend people play the game just to check out the hero design and try to find some enjoyment there. Plus the game is just hands down beautiful to look at.

So, the bad stuff, something definitely feels off with the matchmaking in ranked. I won’t pretend to know what it specifically is, but it is enough of an issue that if it isn’t corrected soon, I think it will crater the popularity of the game. Statistically speaking, there’s no way you can get placed on so many teams of what feel like poorly coded bots against a team that feels like they are playing in the top 500. Eventually, I should be given what feels like a more even sided match.

Instead, I seem to keep getting placed on teams where it feels like my teammates have to be actively throwing all while playing against a team that is so focused and coordinated that no matter how hard we struggle we just cannot make any progress or get any momentum. Like running face first into a brick wall on repeat. And, look, I am not saying that I am an amazing player or anything and deserve to be ranked higher or whatever…I honestly don’t really even care that much about making a ton of progress on my rank. I just want the matches to feel somewhat more even. I would like to at least think there is a chance of winning, rather than it just feeling like it’s hopeless.

Until they fix whatever weirdness is going on behind the scenes, I don’t think I could recommend this game to people who want to play a more serious game mode like Competitive.

This was a fantastic anomaly detection/reporting game. It was incredibly well made and just a lot of fun to play.

My only wish is that there were more levels to play. More loops on different maps, etc.

It is well worth the price and I am looking forward to the sequel.

With a play time of about 8.5 hours, this was a pretty well crafted game in general.

The story was well told, the visuals were pretty good especially considering that it came out a while ago, and the mixture of horror elements with the Thriller/Mystery side of things was well done.

Would definitely recommend this game to horror fans.

Game seems abandoned at the moment, it has been a really long time without any kind of update or news of anything on the horizon. Don't waste your money until there is some sign of life.

I was a massive fan of the original version when I played it. So, I was excited to revisit the game with the new rework.

Capcom did not disappoint with this one. The graphics look amazing, some of the rougher parts of the game mechanically have been polished up. All around an amazing rework.

I would highly recommend this game for anyone that is a fan of the franchise.

I had some mixed feelings about this entry in the Dark Pictures Series. Overall I would recommend the game if you can get it on sale, and you like the Supermassive Branching Story format.

On the one hand, I really liked the premise of the story. It is essentially like a Saw movie turned into a gaming experience. On the other hand, some of the choices and their outcomes were my least favorite so far.

All in all, if you want to play through an interesting story, then this game will give you that.

This is a fantastic horror game…

I didn’t really know what to expect going into it, except for hearing that it dealt with some heavy subject matters.

I was blown away with just how well crafted this experience was. I highly recommend this game.

This game is wild. Honestly, super bizarre but also quite fun to play through.

A really interesting take on a Christmas themed horror game where you step into the shoes of a killer.

There are more than a few graphics styles to choose from, which I thought was a cool thing to include. From VHS to retro 8bit, it has a lot to choose from.
