Kingdom Come: Deliverance pulls you right into medieval Bohemia with its beautiful music, stunning visuals, and a world that feels authentic and alive. It really tries to stick to historical accuracy which is a great contrast to current surge of high fantasy and science fiction RPGs that are on the market.

The early game is tough — Henry is just some clueless guy who's bad at everything. But that’s the fun part. As you stick with it, you can feel yourself (and Henry) getting better at fighting, talking your way out of trouble, and handling whatever comes your way. It makes progress feel rewarding.

The beginning of the story whips you around from place to place and is a little disjointed as Henry figures out his place in this world. It is worth sticking with it until you are fully set loose with a Horse and some basic training/gear. The game will feel unfair, unresponsive, and clunky at first. The majority of that difficulty isn't how you are playing but a stat one, Henry is an untrained, uneducated medieval peasant. Don't be discouraged by the constant whooping you'll get in the first handful of hours, it is absolutely worth the climb.

If you love a game that challenges you, allows you to fail and suffer, while letting you find your own way, KCD is absolutely worth a try.

A game and a story creation engine all in one. Dwarf fortress has some incredibly in depth systems that all culminate into building a world that truly feels lived in.

Your fortress may be the center of your attention, but a world of war, politics, and power grabs still marches on in the neighboring territories. A butterfly effect of actions could result in events that break even the sturdiest of colonies. Necromancers, were-beings, goblin sieges, the circus, you name it and it can probably be the spark that ends your run.

Remember, losing is FUN.

A fantastic JRPG with one of the best real-time action combat systems around. The story and characters are engaging. Several times while playing I had to stop to just appreciate the vistas and incredible art direction. The OST was made with a real symphony and it SLAPS!

Playing through on the hard difficulty was perfect for a RPG veteran. Roaming mobs punished if you got sloppy but didn't feel like damage sponges. Mini bosses forced you to use a few items to survive and really made you appreciate the victory. Main boss took a few attempts, some adjustments to gear/strategy, and a bit of pattern recognition with their attacks to overcome them. Really made the experience all that much more better when you finally move forward and get to see more of the great story unfold.

Highly recommended.

One of the best 3rd person shooters I've ever played. Mixes the aggressive always-moving play style of doom with incredible physics based weapons and utilities. Contains some of the best graphics I've seen in a shooter.
There is a mission in this game that I regard as one of the best shooter level I've ever experienced. (AT Maze)
