This game owns on so many levels. Easily the pinnacle of the series and I'll be sad to see it end.

You're either a vigilant hard worker or a deranged, lying murderer and that's good enough for me.

Been waiting a long time with my buddy for this game to come out, we absolutely had a blast with the previous two games in the series and since no other game has been able to hold a candle to the creativity, complexity, and sheer trial and error of the puzzles in the series, we were immediately onto buying this game the moment it came out.

As of the time of writing, we've sank 2 hour and 40 minutes into the game and we've just made it to the castle - granted we did have some connection issues due to server regions - but thus far each puzzle has been very different from the last which keeps the game engaging.

I have to comment on the fact that I won't spoil the game for anyone, but the level of detail and effort into the story this time round is a pleasant surprise. However, it doesn't really add much to the gameplay aside from setting the scene.

We noticed that there's a bit of a catch with some of the puzzles though; There are both linear puzzles and then there are some that are simply a little bit of chance. Again though, at the time of this writing, it's only due to the lack of fully understanding the puzzle and us just fiddling with knobs, levers and buttons that resulted in us solving them. This is made up for by the puzzles that do require a lot of thinking and planning out.

This is all I have to say regarding the game at this point in time. Bear in mind that I do intend to update this review as soon as we've completed our first run of the game as we played the others to death.

I have only played this game for 11 hours. but those are 11 hours that were filled with nothing but chaos, destruction and most of all FUN.
This game is like no other in the fact that as a top-down, twin stick shooter that plays so bloody well. The gameplay has a learning curve but once you get into the swing of things the strategems (weapons, vehicles, and ordanance) become a second nature and are absolutely vital to do well. I'm happy to see a game like this that has not got a single microtransaction and instead expansion packs that give you new toys to play with as you wreak havoc across the galaxy.

Pros:
-Graphics are great and the game doesn't need a top-spec computer to run well.
-Gameplay is fun, challenging, humourous and tactical.
-Teamkilling never gets old, although it tends to be an accident majority of the time.
-The game doesn't take itself too seriously and the difficulty levels range from incredibly easy to downright impossible, there is a difficulty for any pace of gameplay.
-Enemies all have their own unique abilities and tactics, making no two missions the same.
-Levelling up and unlocking new items becomes addictive and keeps you coming back amongst other things.
-Levels are procedurally generated, adding much needed variety.

Cons:
-Hard to see where you are looking at on a mouse and keyboard unless you aim. The cursor is signified as a transluscent blurred circle, making it hard to find in the heat of battle.
-Some members in the community are elitist that take the game way too seriously, I'd recommend picking this game up and having at least two friends to play with.
-Warlocks.

Fantastic little game, best I've played in a while.
Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to spread the word of Democracy.

"HAVE YOURSELF A NICE CUP OF LIBER-TEA!"

-Edit-
Spelling and grammar mistakes.
Extra positive point.

I haven't played a lot of the game, as you may tell, however, in the short time that I did, I can tell you that the game has a great art style and is quite easy to get the hang of. Personally, I reckon its best played with a gamepad (I used an Xbox 360 controller) But a mouse and keyboard works just fine. The mechanics of the game are interesting, although not exactly groundbreaking as far as 2D platformers go.

All in all, I'd recommend this game to anyone looking for a Hellenic, bloodthirst platformer to play, without wanting to put 110% effort into it.
