As some of you are aware, the WD-40 come back was a bit of a flop and frankly it was my fault. The main reasons for the flop were as follows;

  • I didn't push the server hard enough in order to encourage some of our old players to return. That was completely my fault.
  • Numerous servers popped up using the WD-40 name, most were trying to rekindle the community but others clearly didn't have the time, patience or understanding and they ultimately dragged the name through the dirt.

So, after some thought and discussion with my girlfriend Spiritz, we decided that the WD-40 name has to die. However that doesn't mean our once great community will end here. In fact a new venture has been realised and is already well under way.

The new Rust venture for our community is called Fucking Hostile. Yes it is a crude name, however I feel it sets the tone. We want PVP, we want raiding and we want it without the bullshit and toxic attitude of some of the players that seems to be infecting the entire Rust community like a plague. Play hardcore or find a care bear server!

We don't expect people to jump ship from their current servers or ventures if they are happy, as such we are not jumping the gun with server slots at the moment and even when we do upgrade it will max out at 100 slots. If you are interested then here is what the server and community offers.

  • Maximum 100 player slots.
  • 10x Gather (can increase/decrease based on community voting).
  • 5x Smelt (can increase/decrease based on community voting).
  • 4600 Map Size.
  • Realistic and none pay2win VIP package (strictly resources only).
  • Website/Forums covering everything you need to know.
  • Teamspeak (currently not available).
  • Minimal wipes due to collider batching.

If you want to be a part of the community going forward then feel free to join us. I won't lie and say our player count is high at the moment because it certainly isn't but in order to increase the player count we need people to join early on and help us make it work.

Server ready for this months wipe!

Right, the server came online a couple of weeks ago now. My main focus was to get it ready for a competitive start to the new wipe and I believe we are now in a position for it to be ready. The concept of the server remains the same as before, decent settings in terms of resources, stacks and smelting whilst also encouraging both PVP and PVE.

A lot of people are scared of leaving their current servers because they will lose their blueprints and yes that is true. However, it takes less than a couple of hours these days to farm the fragments to convert into the blueprint library and get the high end crafts such as C4 and weapons.

General Server Setup

  • 100 Slots, that is our maximum.
  • 4500 Map Size.
  • 100k Stacks.
  • 5x Gather (8x quarry).
  • 5x Smelt.
  • Instacraft.
  • Teleport, up to 20 /tpr per day. 20 second timer with 5min cooldown.
  • 3 Sethomes, up to 20 tp's to home per day. 20 second timer with 5min cooldown.

**Teleport/Home settings will change when game breaking bugs are fixed, we will up the amount of available tp's.**

  • Friends.
  • Anticheat.
  • Autodoor.
  • Clans.
  • Dayvote.
  • Deathnotes.
  • Infopanel.
  • Kits.
  • Teleportation.
  • PM.
  • Quicksmelt.
  • Remove.

**Livemap is currently enabled but is being removed due to the possibility of admin abuse and the chance that it can/will drag server performance down.**


As you can see, we are running what we had before however the rules are different this time. We will not curtail base size as this update should see improvements to collider batching which means we can run longer without wiping. However, stupidly large walls will not be tolerated as they eat up the map space.

Very active admin - acts fast, (sometimes too fast!) tries to keep the server cheater-free and according to the rules. Thanks for clearing out all the issues involving me and my clan. Stayed sane throughout the entire drama with another clan!

Wraith and Jammah, bans lifted. Tp bug with foundations causing issues at the moment. I am going to adjust detection method to try and reduce false bans.

Hi, i got banned for wallhack... apparently i was playing with my clan mate killing each other in the base, then when i used /home to go back at home and i saw his body in the room and i killed him, after i shot him his body teleported to the other room, and i got banned for wallhack?
I've never hacked, it all happened for a bug that i didnt cause and i didnt use hacks... Just his body bugged out and i shot him, while he was in the other room, but i couldnt see him there

He swinder I just got banned while I was only tp'ing home. I got stuck in the foundation and didnt have permission in my own base to get out of it cause it was raided and cupboard list ereased. Please unban me It said I was banned for wall hacking I swear I never used a hack in my life think it has something today with being stuck in the foundation without having building rights.
