As some of you are aware, the WD-40 come back was a bit of a flop and frankly it was my fault. The main reasons for the flop were as follows;

• I didn't push the server hard enough in order to encourage some of our old players to return. That was completely my fault.
  
• Numerous servers popped up using the WD-40 name, most were trying to rekindle the community but others clearly didn't have the time, patience or understanding and they ultimately dragged the name through the dirt.

So, after some thought and discussion with my girlfriend Spiritz, we decided that the WD-40 name has to die. However that doesn't mean our once great community will end here. In fact a new venture has been realised and is already well under way.

The new Rust venture for our community is called ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Hostile. Yes it is a crude name, however I feel it sets the tone. We want PVP, we want raiding and we want it without the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and toxic attitude of some of the players that seems to be infecting the entire Rust community like a plague. Play hardcore or find a care bear server!

We don't expect people to jump ship from their current servers or ventures if they are happy, as such we are not jumping the gun with server slots at the moment and even when we do upgrade it will max out at 100 slots. If you are interested then here is what the server and community offers.

Right, the server came online a couple of weeks ago now. My main focus was to get it ready for a competitive start to the new wipe and I believe we are now in a position for it to be ready. The concept of the server remains the same as before, decent settings in terms of resources, stacks and smelting whilst also encouraging both PVP and PVE.

A lot of people are scared of leaving their current servers because they will lose their blueprints and yes that is true. However, it takes less than a couple of hours these days to farm the fragments to convert into the blueprint library and get the high end crafts such as C4 and weapons.

General Server Setup

• 100 Slots, that is our maximum.
  
• 4500 Map Size.
  
• 100k Stacks.
  
• 5x Gather (8x quarry).
  
• 5x Smelt.
  
• Instacraft.
  
• Teleport, up to 20 /tpr per day. 20 second timer with 5min cooldown.
  
• 3 Sethomes, up to 20 tp's to home per day. 20 second timer with 5min cooldown.

**Teleport/Home settings will change when game breaking bugs are fixed, we will up the amount of available tp's.**

As you can see, we are running what we had before however the rules are different this time. We will not curtail base size as this update should see improvements to collider batching which means we can run longer without wiping. However, stupidly large walls will not be tolerated as they eat up the map space.

I have some frustrating news for everyone that has joined us since getting the server back online. This morning when the server admin panel ran its scheduled daily restart it caught the server mid save and unfortunately corrupted the save files.

Today was supposed to be the day I did a back up prior to the patch but that has caught us off-guard so I have nothing to recover from. However, the blueprint file was left intact by the looks of things so no one has lost any blueprints. My plan today before the update is put a plugin in place to handle saves within the oxide client rather than the game panel as that will allow us to run checks on server initialised saves to ensure this does not happen in the future.

So, apologies for the trouble causedm. Be sure to check out the apology kit using /kit apology (one time used, will last until Sunday morning).

As some of you saw, the server went online Saturday afternoon and I have been rapidly tweaking plugins, settings and other stuff in order to bring it back to the same standards as it was previously.

Settings

• 100,000 stack sizes for all key resources, 1000 stack sizes for ammo, rockets and grenades. Also 500 stack sizes for stuff like meat, food and general deployables.
  
• Gather is set to x5.
  
• Smelt is now set to x5.
  
• Instacraft
  
• Day length is 45mins, night length is 5mins.
  
• Two kits available, one as a spawn kit and the other a daily resource kit.
  
• Aidrops once between 15mins and 30mins. Requires two people online.
  
• 3 sethomes. 20 tpr and 20 home per day. 5min cooldown.
