What do you think about adding a new rule?
I know it can be a bit annoying, but what do you think about having to check that the key sold or exchanged in one of the ways has to be OBLIGATORY redeemed and checked that it has been redeemed by the buyer?

It could be done quickly in some ways, even simply that the buyer's account has a +1 on its list of games.

What do you think?

Might not work if you're gifting it to someone else.

Too much work and unrealiable to enforce at best

And how can you prove that it's to give to someone else or it's to do business with?
I think that's the main problem that I think should be tried to solve. What would you propose?

I don't think it's unrealistic. What work is it to see if the buyer has made a +1 in the total of games once you have sent him the key? Or something as simple as indicating to the seller that the key has been activated... are ideas...

That's why i told you that implimenting a rule like that will be hard to monitor

It's completely a no way here, too much hassle for hosts, can't force buyer to redeem it right away and let's face it, you are stuck with rebundles sometimes and glad someone take it (even for alts or friends). For bigger games, we can spot resellers quickly and blacklist them.

Btw..

Everyone has many leftover keys to redeem for fake +1.

But if there's some rule like that (key is only for instant use on buyer's account), you can inform, that you will redeem it yourself after some time without compensation. You can try that ^^

Basically this. There's already a rule against buying multiple copies of the same game.

My keys : I do what I want with them : I buy anything and that means 10 spares then so be it but they are mine to do what I want with once I have them which is usually 99.9% give them away.
