Not a fan at all or even making excuse. I just said what it ostensibly was and why it often runs games like crap on hardware that should be able to, and why it seems like publishers are always lying about min system specs.

And rarely do corposlop reviewers have anything below current specs so they often don't notice the problem with Denuvo at all.

Denuvo is ostensibly an anti-tamper wrapper to protect whatever actual copyright protection scheme a dev/pub is using. It's usually the combination of the two that results in lower system specs being raised above what the publisher's in-house QA will provide for the box - because they do not fully QA with the copyright protection and anti-tamper enabled. In most cases those are either given a quick pass (smoke test) or as an afterthought and lazily addressed with a Day 0 patch once the reviewers notice the problems.

It really just serves as another BS reason to carelessly push system specs upwards with bloat from all layers. It's mostly to protect AAA shovelware that land poorly for a later fully-patched $20 bargain bin sale.

Only thing better would have coop campaing on that game but devs already said it wont happen.
Never the less, the game on sales gets to 1,99€ and to me is a lot better than payday.

The mere fact alone that Woolie and Pat shill VERY hard for Warframe, is what made me pull the plug on it early on. Has anyone gave Warframe a thorough look? I dropped it before I encountered much blatant woke trash, but I've heard it's gotten quite a bit of it.

No one (NOBODY) ever tried to pull something like this off, until Star Citizen started becoming a thing. And no one would probably dare to do it afterwards. Because this is way too much even for the industry's most fattest and biggest corpos. Even IF Star Citizen fails and trainwrecks into absolute meme of a complete disaster, it is still worth commending it for at least trying doing something nobody ever tried to pull off before OR after it.

2) Even despite the graphical and detail/LoD fidelity being shown and "flexed" in the SQ 42's gameplay presentation, it is STILL not final state and NOT maxed out graphics (for one, Star Citizen was officially capable to output resolution of up-to 16K internally since 2018, which at that point, only ONE other game in the entire industry was capable of doing - Egosoft's X4. At that point, when everything else/every setting is "maxed" in the game, and the said "maxed" is only going so far as the PU's latest current state goes (with constant updates/improvement/addition of new tech), the game consumes at least 48GB of RAM and at least 20GB of VRAM on constant, which even the most expensive GPU offerings were able to achieve/cover only just recently).

When you watch SQ 42's gameplay presentation, you should always take into consideration and remember these two things:

1) It's all (ALL of it, including all of those cut-scenes with high-profile actors and top-notch assets) running in-engine, essentially being a Machinima'esque set piece. ALL of it is real (and thus can go hilariously wrong, if physics/graphics/lighting messes up suddenly), at all times.

That latest gameplay presentation of SQ 42's opening section from CitizenCon, seriously FUNKED. It FUNKS and it FUNKS HARD. They've also finally locked the release date (2026) and openly stated that Star Citizen 1.0 is right at the doorstep. 12 years a slave to wait, but I really feel like it was worth it.

The "woke" (or, rather, censorship/bastardizing alteration) part in CT PC is mainly present in form of rewritten "lolcowlization" texts (where characters use "modern lingo" quips/speech patterns) and some sprites being "slightly redone", if I recall correctly. Something akin to "Dragon Quest's BIGREDSMACKINGLIPS on Troll" moment, or "removal of innuendos". I'm not completely sure exactly which parts were "modernaudience"d, as I only touched that piece of crap once, on it's "release" (iykwim) date, and never got back to it ever since. If modders managed to largely improve/fix/repair that piece of crap, then I guess it's "fine", to each their own, but purely on a personal level I'd rather just run CT PSOne on original hardware (in my particular case, I currently use PS 2 for that, as I don't have a physical PSOne on my hands anymore) or at the very least emulate it (in Duck, POPS, or whatever else).

I don't recall any of that modern audience crap changes aside from the FMV removals. Ayla's Intro wasn't one of them, which suggests to me it was the violence of the other two that caused their removal.

The woke insertions that people might be remembering and attributing to Chrono Trigger is the awful treatment of another beloved 90s favorite, Secret of Mana.

Funny thing about CT PC that I was keeping up with.

It actually got better, mainly because modders helped rinse Squeezix alongside the few game journos who can still actually play a game without Tourist Mode on. They showed what the game could be if it weren't just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ lazy port given a $5 price increase from the mobile version. Better resolutions, removal of stupid filters, fixing XABY, etc. Squeezix actually updated to make it more of an actual PC port instead of shovelware. With the increased quality the modders eventually stopped.

There are still two missing FMV cutscenes, where Lucca finds Robo and the Fall of Guardia. Because it might traumatize someone. Sadly, there's no way to mod those into the game as of yet.

I've heard about some modding scene existing for Chrono Trigger, somewhere out there, but I'm not sure how deep it goes, as I personally never tried modding it with anything, thus far. Mostly because I always play CT (and Chrono Cross as well...and Radical Dreamers too) and CC either on their original respective consoles (I always prefer PSOne port of CT over Super Famicom's vanilla, however), or I just run those in emulators (I've played through crappy DS port of it this way, because Nintendon't will never ever get a single effing cent more from me, past the Gamecube/Wii era).

Dude, what? Chrono Trigger on Steam is GARBAGE. It's "based on" mobile sloport and rife with new bugs/glitches that weren't there before, as well as nonexistent "modern audience"-pandering/catering censorship/rewrites aimed at lavender latte sоу drinking snowflakes. It is DUNG that's even worse than what the DS port was representing. It's so BAD that they didn't even change/remove some of the mobile UI elements, when they were """""porting""""" that TRASH to PC. It is absolute atrocity.
